The problem is that Joe is a face for the vaping community and recommends some junk items. I checked into some of the cartos from madvapes that had horrible reviews from their customers. I've seen it more than once, and realized then he was about the buck. Granted I cross the page every few days looking for deals, but some folk just getting into vaping are suckered into junk as I once did

I never heard of Vapor Joes until the whole Innokin/Fasttech thing...

After revealing that some vendors were paying him affiliate fees for his posting a few weeks ago, the site quickly moved to mostly sponsored deals. Some of them are still good deals. I find many of them at gotsmok.com, and on a number of occasions they have posted the deal first.

The site states "This is simply a passionate hobby of mine." and "Over 90% of vendors are unaffiliated deals." It appears that the majority of deals now pay fees for every click. In my opinion, this was the business plan from the beginning, and the volume of denials suggest to me it is very profitable.

The site's header states "an unbiased look at deals in the vaping community". When you profit from some vendors' deals and not others, unbiased isn't really possible.

... and this makes me care about him even less. May he slink into obscurity. :p

Mine is the vision brand. I have used the same ones for the last year and rebuild the heads. I am finding the mini from fasttech is working quite well with the vision type silicone cap. Most of what they have is the smoketech brand which is iffy at best. I think the top silicone cap is a design prob from smoktech. Still cheaper and I will give them a shot. So far none of the mini's that I bought from there have leaked. The 3.5ml which I love is another story.

I was specifically refering to fasttech vivi novas. I have Vision Vivis and they work great. I too rebuild the heads and have had no issues (apart from the Texas heat making it weep juice)
So now I have to say everyone (but one person) I have heard mention fasttech vivis said they were junk :D

I'm fine with the man making a buck. Hosting what I assume is a high traffic website ain't[sic] free. Admittedly, I pass over 99.9% of what he has listed, but I'm not complaining about saving money when I do run across something I want.

Actually, he is having his site hosted for free. He's using the Google blogspot platform, which is their free version of Blogger.

It takes a ton of traffic to make context-based advertising pay off, so a lot of bloggers opt to supplement through affiliate relationships and direct sponsorship. I host two sports-related sites and use a combination of context ads served by Adsense, affiliate programs and a few direct clients who pay a fixed monthly rate for ad space.

I'm a part timer and don't have anywhere near the traffic Joe does. But even at his level of page views, he's still only making a few hundred a month, at best. I'm sure that's not his "day job."

It's not. His money is made elsewhere, but it is Internet related.

Folks just need to chill and view the site for what it is. He posts some pretty nice deals and whether you want 'em or not is up to you. But don't hate on the guy for showing folks what's out there.

Hey guys do you think vaporjoes is getting on with too many crap items?, in the past few month he is posting a lot from fasttech items, fasttech do have some good items as well as very bad ones but men for every item he post they are like 4 from fasttech, look like he is a fasttech emplyee now, i would love too see real deals not some crap of vivi novas clone that dont even work. I think he will loose some followers

There will always be vapers who look for the deals.

Myself, I've never used vapor joes or fasttech, because i have established relationships with certain vendors (hardware and juice) and I know them and i know they will treat me right.

When something goes wrong, that few dollars I 'saved' buying from a new vendor, or a vendor overseas, is quickly eaten up when you can't ship back or have to toss it out.

Not sure what there is to complain about? And, IMHO, Vapor Joe has every right to get paid for the sleuth work he is doing....either in $, agreements, or product. I'm sure he has business expenses related to what he is doing (hosting fees, time for his labor, phone calls, research work, etc.) There is an audience for his newsletter/website and if somebody is like me and doesn't use it, then just don't use it. :)

I do think he had a great idea.......and some of you have no idea what people out there in the corporate world get paid to do just this: summarize and aggregate data for other people who are too busy to spend the time researching it themselves. Vapor Joe would be pulling down a fortune doing this for aFortune 500 company or lawfirm.......and IMHO, he does a great job doing it within the ecig community.

What a hot gaudy mess around his neck
pretty sure "nikki darling" made that.....

haters be harsh and stuff...
i am not a ........ groupie by any means but you guys are gonna trash him because of how he looks and that he happens to be making money publishing deals?
that is one of the foundations of "the internet"..."click through" advertising...

all the hating is like hating on Big Lots for having an orange logo and selling plastic/glass jewelry instead of gold/gemstones....
file away the terms "due diligence", "buyer beware", and "your mileage may vary" for future reference......
