I didn't think it was possible for the USPS to get any worse on delivery times, but wow. I understand they are going through layoffs, major cutbacks and plant shutdowns but really? My AVE delivery made it from IL to TN in one day, sat in TN for 4 days, then to me in a day. Must be a HUUUUGE distribution center. Anyone else been having poor delivery times?

EEEK *orders 3 months of supplies now*

edit* also, yea things have gotten way worse, even for my non e-cig related items. My usual carto order from hoosier e-cig takes 4 days to get from central Indiana to where i live....in eastern illinois. It's a 40 minute drive one way, WTF >.<

The disparity in delivery time is definitely noticeable, though as you said, can't blame them.

Still, I sent 2 packages to family that I'm hoping to convert from cigarettes to vaping, Priority Mail mind you, from Southern to Northern California...I sent it Monday morning & it still has not gotten there. ETA is tomorrow, but 3 days for Priority Mail in the same state? Yowza.

I'm a mailman and I can tell you that your package most likely didnt sit in the same place for 4 days. It probabably stoped in a few places along the way and just was'nt scanned or the information just didn't download properly from the scanner. There not always scanned at every stop and won't update till a new scan is put in the system. It might of gone to cali. and back but they don't let things just sit there. As far as speed its just as bad as fed ex or ups. usps parcels fly on the same plane as fed ex or ups as the post office leases space on there planes to minimize usps fleet. There all about the same excpt usps has the worst online tracking. It has gotten better but still sucks.

USPS will only get worse. All the cuts, layoffs & goverment employee mentality. I mail a ton of packages priority with them & everytime I go which is about 4 times a week the majority of the time there is 1 person there which seems ro be working a line almost out the building & atleast 2 other employees just sitting around.

I'm in NJ at the moment and I always buy from nhaler. They are also in NJ, about 45 minutes away, and every time I order from them my stuff comes the next day - except an order about 2 weeks ago which took 5 DAYS! I would have driven down there and picked the stuff up myself if I'd known that was going to happen. Lame.

Not trying to defend the post office. Because I freak out about my packages as well if they take longer than I think they should. But sometimes its the shipper as well. they do a click and ship on line with the post office. then you get a shipped notice almost imediatly, even tho the post office has'nt received it yet. They may not receive it for several days. Even though you got notice it shipped. I do alot of online shopping and i have had very good and very bad experiences with all of the shippers.

Just to clarify the op's original question. I think all the delivery companys in genral have O.K. delivery times including usps. Especialy when you consider less than 10 years ago you could wait 4 to 6 weeks for a package you ordered or a couple weeks for someone who sent it on average. Are any of them fast as would like... NO.

I'd take an afternoon off and make the drive, lol... If there was anything within a two hour drive or so from here, I'd be making regular Thursday trips there a few times a month.... *jealous* of people that live in populated areas near a quality vape shop!

2 1/2 weeks on one of mine for some mod parts... I'm assuming it's gone forever. Of course they didn't get a tracking number when I did first class. :(

Honestly, I have never noticed any difference between first class + $0.70 tracking and priority mail. I'm pretty sure they all send on the same trucks. When I asked the guy at the post office what the difference was, he said, "the price." :)

As Scottinboca, mentioned, and I was going to say, packages coming out of the North-East have the worst times getting out of the starting gate. Somehow, once they get out of that area, things seem to go a bit swifter. I have no problems with packages (crossing my fingers, cause I have a few in transit at the moment) coming from other regions of the country--usually the advertised 3 days for Priority Flat-Rate, and 4 days for First Class. An additional day now and then, for either rate.

Now, overseas shipping really sux.

man,,,you guys would gone stir crazy if ya lived in Alaska 20 years ago,,when most everything came up here by truck or boat.[6 plus weeks at least].to top it if if it wasn't damaged somewhat you had to take a picture to convince anybody :)

shipping to Alaska has gotten so much better since the internet got so common place..a whole new world has been opened up for us,,if not for the internet and the USPS ???i would still be analoging it. because there is only one place within 50 miles that sells anything ecig related and not the best hardware either..

2 weeks ago i placed an order with liberty flights on friday and had to mailed to my work,,,Oliktuk Point, north slope of Alaska
made it to anchorage on sunday,,sat there till wednesday waiting for a secondary [non-postal] service to finish the delivery since the post office don't go that far north !!!

my biggest gripe is some of these suppliers take a week to actually get the order out the door,,otherwords it takes longer to get it out the the door then to make it thru the postal service..

i dont use the other 2 popular carriers because the cost is more then double or triple,, and i only get it one sooner,,,i can deal with that extra day

summary, plan ahead to prevent shortages please

I have had where the shipper said shipped on my order, but it did not leave their facility for two days. I have received a tracking number (with USPS their tracking system is not that accurate) that did not get receipted for two days so I do not know if it was USPS or the shipper and other things have happened.

But once it is receipted and shows up in USPS tracking system I have always gotten it within 2 or 3 days. I live in Ga and I have gotten USPS deliveries from CA, WI, IN, etc. - from all over.

One time the USPS tracking system was showing receipted for two days, but nothing more in MA and I am wondering what is happening and then the next morning it is updated and it shows it is being delivered that day. You cannot use USPS as a tracking system to watch - it is not reliable for that, but when it says receipted then you know it is in the mail and on its way and when it says scheduled to be delivered then you got it...
