Wholesale these things are around $5-6 a 50-60% markup isn't really that huge for a specialty shop. Add to that some places offer warranties the cost of which the supplier eats. Bottom line is if you want cheap, buy directly from china.

what i do is note who jacked up their prices during a shortage and not buy from them ever again when stability returns, but that's just me.

It's sorted now. I was referring to "JERKS". Where I come from that is quite a derogatry remark to make about someone. Obviously it doesn't have the same impact in the USA. I have accepted Phalsa's apology ( I don't know what douche bag means....lol)
Anyway, we have sorted things thru' pm's and now have a better understanding of each other. Sorry SambucaLu..this is where I should have made my feelings made in the first place!!

It's not your imagination, prices are going up. Considering the massive daily influx of new shoppers, I doubt the suppliers who are doing it care very much that seasoned buyers will pass them by. Between that and the inventory problems I doubt any suppliers will go hungry anytime soon.
Last night I came across one supplier who is charging 12.99 for a pack of 5 preloaded carts. Another who's charging 17.99 for a battery. I'm not out to bash any specific suppliers so they'll go unnamed.
Point is, so far e smoking has been more economical for me than tobacco, but I fear before too long I'll be getting another lesson in Economics 101 about supply and demand.

I dont know which atomizer or suppliers you use but the two I have been dealing with have not done this. Of course stock is down because of shipment problems and hoarding but my suppliers have not jacked their prices. Cigtechs 901's are 8.50 and VaporGuys are 8.99 but after using their coupons the price is below 8 bucks.
I have seen shipping and price jacks at PS but no one can get an explaination from someone who is mia.
IMHO This is the time when all should look at this situation and realize who actually are the "real" reliable suppliers.

401 atmoizers are stable. I just get 901 and 801 atomizers from China.

Price-wise when I buy something online, I shop around and compare prices. Service-wise, you can get great or horrible service from Macy's or Walmart.
In shopping for anything, if the shop is overpriced, or service is terrible, I don't buy there.

.Got a few suppliers that I have come to like AND respect, I'll stick with those and those jumping on the band wagon to get rich quick can go rot

I think some of the suppliers attract consumers with sales. That is a very smart way for a member to get to know them, and attract repeat customers. I don't feel sorry for suppliers that jack up their prices and lose customers. Some people have to learn the hard way.
