Is it my imagination, or are we being taken advantage of?

Supply and demand plain and simple.

Supply being held up in customs demand being spiked by stockpiling. Somewhat guilty myself.

I don't have any problems with what the suppliers are charging. Most provide very good service and most are into it because they love the product. There are some very good suppliers out there providing very fair and competitive prices along with great service.

If there are suppliers with prices out of line simply find a better supplier. 8 to 10 bucks an atty. 45 to 55 bucks for a e-cig kit and some with a backup atty. A carton of analogs runs about that.

*seal off the switch/battery from atomizer/carts so it doesnt get any liquid leaking towards the front end, causing damage overtime to the battery/switch*

This I don't understand albeit I do not drip other than a 1 to 2 drops every once in a while if it needs to be primed after draining. I have never seen any juice come out of the other end of the atty, but I guess I use it more or less as intended (I do load the carts with a ton of juice and drip 1 or 2 drops on the atty every now and then).

You guys must be dripping a ton of juice in there. I sometimes get worried so I often check my battery. I put like 10 or so drops in my cart 2 or 3 priming drops take a 5-10 puffs and then max out the cart with like another 5 to 10 drops, but still nothing out the other end of the atty and I am good for at least 1/2 the day.

I don't want a sealed battery and I do not see the need. I can sometimes go an entire workday on one cart filled like stated aboves and with plenty of vape and throat hit all workday (maybe top off once more during the day and the once or twice at night when I get home).

I am a noob to this, but I don't see the point of dripping more than an occasional drop or two, but while still using a full cart and vaping all day with no mess?

Why not just top of the cart once in a while instead of dripping or top off and drip a drop or two (still nothing out the other end of my atty or in my mouth). You would think a full cart would just help keep you from having to drip as often???

Anyways, maybe the newer SLB 901's are just working better and hold more juice (not to be mistaken for the V2 901 that I haven't tried)

Sure I could, and YOU could get the point, and laugh, without being so up tight?

Sorry I don't conform to your strange, internet rules, simply sit back and post blah blah small talk, same boring posts with no touch of personality.

lol are you one of the people raising prices from 8 to 10 bucks at your local shop?

Why would anyone (on the internet) care about what others think of them.
Go ahead and be self-conscious and worry what others think.

There are like millions, billions of people on the planet. Ohhh some forums members dont like me! Going to vape and cry about it in my bed!

This is the type of attitude that turns me off of msg boards. I need to be around cooperation and mutual respect, not bullying and intimidation.

I realize people like this expose volumes about their own insecurities, but I believe mods should ban members who bully.

So back to the initial post............

Yes, I think vendors are trying to cover losses. But I think you also have 2000 new members every month and a number of them that are trying to jump on the band wagon and make big money with minimal investment before they even know what song is playing.

I'll just make my own order from china.

Well... since I started the thread (a long time ago) I thought I'd add my own comment now.

This thread was brought back from the dead. I made the comment back in March, before shipments were getting seized all the time. The comment, at the time, was made because prices were going up right around the time cigarette prices were as well.

Nowadays, there may be other reasons why the prices have gone up. Honestly, when I saw this thread pop up a few days ago with my name under it, I'd forgotten that I'd even posted this.

ROFL...he's got you there Walrus. Too funny.

But really, the topic of this post is still valid. Some suppliers have raised their prices while others have not. We don't know the motive, but I guess we can sympathize with what they're going through.

My concerns go with the newbs. If they're like I was only 2-1/2 months ago, they're overwhelmed with all the information, or mis-information, about who's got the best prices for the best products.

Still a good post Walrus,
When I was buying analogs.. before the recent tax increase, the smoke shops said the tobacco companies were raising their prices ahead of the tax, to cash in before the tax hikes hit. I'm just glad they didn't hit me. I may pay the same $ for $ increase here... But Damn I smell better!! And F them.

looking at the number of new suppliers paying to be on this board.. i dont see a price gouging situation.. i see the opposite.. way too much competition amongst sellers all doing their best to make a small amount of money from a bunch of over picky spoilt consumers who love a good forum whinge... he he he

every time i look at that supplier list it gets longer..

trog

ps... apart from the basic unreliability of e cigs as a product i recon the buyer is on top with this one.. handling returns is a major cost for western sellers.. i dont think they realize just how many they are gonna get when they start out..

Exactly, two things happen when I see a new supplier:

1.) I wonder if they're a legit business.
2.) I bookmark their homepage and wait about two weeks to see how much their prices have changed.

Biggest Mistakes: Presales. Selling items before they have cleared customs. I can honestly admit when I first started, I didn't know about the seizures going on and I believe I was also selling kits for $39.99. =P

That was a mistake, but luckily I came out of that predicament unscathed. Although, some don't. It really sucks when you see good people get screwed and the 'bad' ones still around. I've posted my personal views on 'Presales' and might as well do it again.

Be very weary of New Suppliers doing presales. I've caught wind of some of them using the presale money to start their initial investment. (IDIOTS!) I've actually heard of suppliers doing this, luckily things turned out 'okay' for them. But what would've happened if that shipment was seized? Well I'd think there would be a lot of legal issues ahead, especially when that person just disappears from the forum.
--------

Well that's as much of my opinion as you're going to get today :p On another note, I've been kicking around raising my prices...but for another reason all together :p Just haven't decided if I wanted to go through with the 'free shipping' route.

/ponders.
