I've been using my titan tank for a month now, and despite the logic I still find myself getting cravings for analogues, so the way I work it is at work I smoking my titan and at home I smoke analogues but i'd rather jump completely to the titan but its rather hard, I am still craving something and I can't figure out what. I am using 24mg liquid so get enough nicotine and I am getting a good enough throat hit so can't figure out what I am craving.

I think that it really comes down to an individual by individual basis. I bought a gas station ecig on a whim a month and a half ago and haven't looked back (to analogs) since. I have since upgraded to a Provari-1 with a Big Daddy Vapor tank and love it. I was smoking a PAD before the ecig and was able to "cold turkey" it on the analogs. The thought of smoking an analog now sounds disgusting. So yes, I think it is possible but I also think it really comes down to the individual. How much were you smoking pre-vaping? I jumped in at 18mg and have since found that I am ok with 12mg. Granted I have been vaping pretty heavily on the 12mg. SO, vape more to get that je ne se quois?

To answer your question, in my opinion, YES. I smoked well over a pack a day of Marlboro red for over 20 years. I quit with the patch for a month or so, but I still had cravings, inevitably smoked again. I started vaping a month ago, got a few different juices from a friend, ordered a bunch of 3 mil bottles of various flavors that I thought I would like. My friend is a "dripper", so I went the same route. For a week I did both, smoke and vape. When I had all my supplies that would last me a while, I stopped smoking and only vaped. That was on 10/17/11. I have not had an anolog since, and more importantly, I have not had a craving for one AT ALL. I feel like vaping fits me like a glove. I started at 20mg, but I stayed away from tobacco flavors. I dropped to 18mg, feels fine. I did try one of those "clear-o-mizers

Hells yeah to us folks! Making the analog free life happen! MacTheKnife, what did you think of the clearomizers? I've tried them as well and love the flavor they give to my juices but HATE that the leak like sieves. Approximately one out of every five pack I've purchased works like a dream. The others leak leak leak. I know there are ways to mod them but it just seems like such a hassle...

Is it possible to quit smoking analogues completely using an ecig? Most of the people here have done just that. You could try higher nicotine juice the max lies around 48mg so you still have some room to experiment. Other things you can try is dripping and/or a high voltage mod. Try dripping first, it's the easiest thing on the list to do and it does not cost you any money to try it.

A titan is a slim e-cig with low battery life and around 3.2v. Sounds as if you need something beefier such as a riva special edition which is 3.7v using that and perhaps some LR cartomisers. If that doesn't get you off the cigs I don't know what will lol I'd try that before upping nic strength. If all else fails, it may be you're missing the alkoloids in analogs. It's taken me a few months to cut down and stop using cigs. It's only when I went to 3.7v or more (thanks Provari!) that got me off them. Everyone is different, you might not stop completely from day one and that's ok, this is your journey, don't stress it.

Don't think about it like "quitting smoking". You are not quitting. You are just changing to a brand that doesn't stink, or kill you, or anyone around you.

Some find the transition difficult. Try smoking an analog, then next smoke break, vape.

Ease yourself on to the new brand. Start with strong juice--24mg. Don't get in a big hurry to bring that down. The nicotine is the addictive end of smoking, not the lethal end.:vapor:

Come Feburary it will be two years since I last smoked an analog. I hate analogs and can't stand to be around them now - God they stink!

I used to smoke two packs a day and almost three on weekends of Marboro Lights while computer gaming. See my sig for my PV. It is a great one. Little hassle with it at all. Get a bottom feeder like the one I have to cut down on the hassle of carts, tanks, and stuff like that.

I have cut from 24mg to 12 and will continue to drop the nic and maybe over time I'll get off all of it but right now I'm satisified with vaping. I don't have cravings for analogs since the first week of vaping. I DIY so I save money there too.

The cravings will still be their for life but I haven't smoked a analog since I found good juice. And when I get a craving for a analog cig I just vape the crap out of my ecig. But u might want to look into whole tabaco acolodes!

The cravings will NOT be there for life. I was a really heavy smoker and I have no cravings at all to smoke now. Maybe you just need to vape a higher nic juice. Trust me, with the right equipment and the right juice for you, the complete transition to vaping is easy and painless. In saying that, I know many people have found that using Snus as well as vaping helps a lot. Just give it a little more time and you will eventually find the idea of inhaling smoke quite repulsive. Good luck.

I've been analog free for over 4 months now and it really hasn't been a struggle at all. The only time I really struggle to avoid cigarettes is when I don't have or cant use my pv for whatever reasons. I've never been able to quit before with patches, gum, or anything else. As soon as I got a good quality e-cig it's been smooth sailing for me for the most part. Even when I am around my smoker friends and watch them smoke I don't really have any problems. I don't have any issues sleeping at night from quitting. I actually sleep better now. And I am really enjoying not hearing my lungs make the raspy gurgling noise they used to when I was a smoker. I don't know about anyone else but I always found that disturbing hearing that in my chest whenever I took a breath. I say, e-cigs absolutely do work and they are the only thing I have found to work for me to put the smokes down.

The transition to electronic cigarettes only can be more difficult for some than others. Some vapers, like myself, find the switch quite easy and give up cigarettes almost accidentally. Others need more time to wean themselves off of cigarettes. Electronic cigarettes do not give exactly the same experience as an analog and there have proven to be a number of other chemicals in analogs that are part of the habit. My only suggestion is to try to go without analogs completely for a few days. Once you do, you will probably find that analogs taste horrible in comparison to vaping.

Today is day 21 for me. I was a 2 PAD smoker. One of the first things I decided was that I wasn't quitting smoking. I wasn't going to alter my routine; I still go outside at work when I want to vape. Much of smoking for me is socializing. I didn't want to give that up. I did decide I wasn't buying any more cigarettes and after I finished the last one in my pack (mostly to be rid of it), I cleaned out my ashtrays and put them away. I have not yet felt as though I were suffering or that I was missing something important. I used the strategy Off Topic suggested - I'm changing WHAT I use to get my nicotine; I'm not quitting but switching to a different brand.

On the flip side, a friend at work decided she needed to quit smoking. She approached it as sort of a punishment; she's had a lot of health issues and really does need to give up smoking. She doesn't want to go out to vape, she keeps buying cigarettes, and she's really struggling. I'm hoping when you discover what works for you, you'll share that so I can suggest it to her. Good luck!!

I think that it really comes down to an individual by individual basis.

Agree 100% ... for me the biggest thing is driving. I get into a car and start smoking. Now my new car still smells new because now I am vaping. There is a pack of red Marlboro somewhere but I don't know where. Now that was not an option a month ago, I always new exactly where my smokes and my lighter was.
Keep on working on it.

As said before it's pretty much up to the indivudual. I went from 2 packs a day to none automatically in about 2 days en i never intended to give up analogs completely, i just looked for an alternative and it worked out very well for me.

The few cravings i've had were all in situation where over the last 20 years (for me at least) lighting up was a habit in itself. For instance getting in the car in the morning and driving off, Getting up in the morning having that 1st cup of coffee, the cup of coffee directly after lunch etc.

When i realised what it was i just vaped the **** out of my ego and told myself off...it worked and after a few weeks those "habbit cravings" were gone :D.

I deliberately started with a 1 higher nicotine level then the tables suggested, so it was easy to convince myself it wasnt the addiction to nicotine.

PS: after a few months i discovered a e-liquid from the UK called herbal zero nicotine, which is supposedly designed to provide smokers with a helluva throat hit ..and trust me it does  that tricked my brain even better so now i only vape nicotine 1/3 of the time..and have stepped down a lvl (and will go even lighter once my curent supply runs out)

So in short: Yes it's possible, but you will run into those lil craving challenges every once in a while, but they do go quickly(ish)
