As mentioned repeatedly, everyone is different.

I received my kit on Halloween and haven't had, or wanted a tobacco product since. I say that because I also dipped (Copenhagen) infrequently also and haven't had much in the way of cravings. I do think I am vaping much more than I smoked but for me it is more due to the convenience- I didn't smoke in my car, indoors at work or in the house (it's COLD up here! Add to that I don't reek of cigarette smoke, I don't feel as if I am poisoning myself with each drag and the vapor is actually very pleasant, I'm "burning" thru quite a bit of juice for now!

I was also fortunate to get some good info here regarding an initial setup. I opted for an eGo-T system (the Volcano Inferno) and added 510 kits for my wife and MIL (Volcano Magma kits) and haven't looked back! Descent equipment and juice makes a world of difference!

YMMV but I suspect you will find it easier to shift over full-time because it becomes a personal preference rather than an effort.

Yes, you certainly can drop those cigarettes, but something that truely helped me was finding the right flavor for your vape. If you don't like the taste, your not going to stick with it. I loved expesive cigars, but could not afford the cost and look my kids in the eye at the same time. Regular tobaco flavors just couldn't match a great Macanudo, and I luckily tried a vanilla juice, and WOW it all made sence. I realy would have screwed up the kids colledge funds had I not expierimented. Good luck, hope this helps.

I also quit a 24 yr pack a day habit w/ a 801. I now have many PV's& juice but when I see some of my smoker friends I really want a real cig. So I'll grab a tobacco flavor & I'm good! :) For me this time quitting was so easy w/ a e cig i don't feel like I even quit! Most of my friends have now also quit after trying one of my MANY PV's lol! Good luck!!!

Long answer......Hell Yessssss!
Just read the sigs at the bottom of my post...and many others.

You may have to beef up your unit....and nic....but it is sooooooo possible.

If at first you don't succeed....try, try again!!!!!!

And NEVER...give up!

Read here, learn a little more....re adjust equipment, possibly juice and get after it again.

You can do it!!

For me it has. I also really did want to quit smoking though. 6 months prior to getting e-cigg I told myself just about everyday "This needs to stop" and when I was finally ready, I got my PV and am now officially smoke free.

I bet I'm echoing what others may have mentioned, but try more flavors. You might be missing the right juice for you. Once you find those 2 or 3 flavors you really enjoy that can make a hell of a difference in staying off analogs.

I've been using my titan tank for a month now, and despite the logic I still find myself getting cravings for analogues, so the way I work it is at work I smoking my titan and at home I smoke analogues but i'd rather jump completely to the titan but its rather hard, I am still craving something and I can't figure out what. I am using 24mg liquid so get enough nicotine and I am getting a good enough throat hit so can't figure out what I am craving.

Hello and welcome to ecf. You are probably craving any number of the 4000 chemicals that are in reg analogs(cigs). Search out the Whole Tobacco Alkaloids(s).

for some making the switch is easy. for others not so much....first of all, don't beat yourself up about it. Let it happen naturally.
take a read here to get you started on WTA.

At the end of the day, it all depends on the individual. First and foremost is that you actually want to quit smoking. If not and you think you enjoy it too much to stop, then all the e-cigs in the world won't help you.

I stopped smoking analogs because I thought it's time for me to after ten plus years of trying. I bought my first e-cig kits when I was already into my two smoke-free weeks. That's just me, anyway.

Hi. And Welcome.

It could be several things. In my first couple months the "hardest" thing I needed to figure out was: how to use a PV enough. It is a very different experience from smoking. You have to pick it up, you have to push a button, each time you use your e-cig. It's not on auto-pilot like a lit cigarette. You may simply not be vaping enough.

The nicotine doesn't get into your system the same way either. It's a slower process than smoking - no "instant hits" of nicotine gratification going on here. So, from what you related, you are only using your PV for infrequent breaks at work, and get home and head right for the analogs... Yup, I'm thinking you aren't vaping enough this early in.

When you get that "wanna cigarette" fit at home, simply try picking up the PV first and see how it goes. After that if you still want the cigarette it's still an option.

I gave myself a three month transition window in which I moved from using the PV more and smoking less. I radically cut down that very first week - from a 1.5 PAD habit to 4 to 6 butts a day. The rest of those first 3 months was a lot of choosing (and brain farts) when "wanna cigarette" reared it's head, between using my PV or having the cigarette. Some times I would have the PV in one hand, a cigarette in the other, and had a mini meltdown making a decision. But more often than not I chose the PV over the analog.

And yeah, the cravings were the hardest at the beginning, became a LOT less by day 90 when I had my last analog, and are barely minor blips at six months.

I would check to see if you need to use your PV more. And you may need to add something stronger in the 30 or 36 mg range for now. Initially I needed a 30 mg liquid on bad craving days.

The addictive quality of analogs is not the nicotine...although some would like you to think that...it is a combination of MAOI's and nicotine...this combo extends the release of dopamine in the brain...causing a highly addictive effect...without the MAOI's...nicotine is little more then caffeine.

I used swedish snus for the first few months to help with some of the withdrawal...and supplementing the MAOI's my body was used to...now I only vape and I can go for hours with getting that "I NEED TO SMOKE" feeling...It can be difficult for some so just ask here on the forum if you run into any trouble...we are here for ya:)
