Is it unusual to regress to simple stupid?

I've been at it just over 2 years. Started like most 2 years ago with an evod and simple twist battery. That stuff was cutting edge back then. lol.

I've bought tons of stuff. Have a pile of good 18650/350's. Assorted mechs and vv/vw tube mods. Drippers and kayfuns and some genesis style tanks. Of course I have a box full of protank 1's and 2's that have collected dust in the evolutionary process.. After all this, I've regressed to kanger aero's and genitanks on top of eleaf 30/50w boxes. Simple dual coil 1.8's heads. I don't even touch my rebuildables. Don't get me wrong, a nicely wrapped and wicked rta/rda vapes great. But I just don't care anymore. I've plateaued and then repelled down a couple notches.

I've bought juice from who knows how many vendors. I've thrown away more "premium" juice than many people vape in a year. At the end of juice chase I've only found 1 premix that I still vape. Thankfully I figured out DIY and I mix large quantities of just 4-5 recipes that last me 3-4 months at a time. So I only have to mix 3-4 times a year. It's seems so easy sometimes I wonder why I was so frantic for the first year. I can vape the same flavor for 3+ days and rare vape more the 2-3 different flavors during any given week.

I'm sure I would love Aspire tanks but since my wife uses mini ptank 3's and genitanks it just makes life easier to order 6 months worth of heads at a time from FT.

vaping has become so simple and stupid easy that I don't even think about it anymore. I don't even browse the forums looking at all the new things.

I've been reading outside of the DIY forum the last few days and I don't even know what half the people are talking about with gear and juice anymore. Which is weird because I spent the first year or so glued to everything.

Am I on an island here? Are there other people that have actually moved "backwards" and feel totally satisfied?

I wouldn't say I've moved backwards. I've just found what works for me. Pretty simple stuff.

Agreed :) I have been at a place of contentment for awhile, I like to hop over the fence here and there but I still have my constant set-ups that I still use daily.

I'm kinda with you... I've been stuck with my mechs and kayfuns (some rda inbetween) and i'm happy with that setup. (Started with vision spinner mp2 etc)
So i usualy spend my budget on juices nowadays.
Altho i keep up with the latest due interest. ^^

But the "Oh gotta buy this and that" has passed. Now i think it through if i want to buy it or not.
I keep telling myself though, i need to try this mod... In the end i'm back with my mechs.

I was fortunate to settle in to a routine the second month I was here. Only upgraded to a better battery after 3yrs. Topper and eliquid has stayed the same.

Tried One clearo ( G4 ) and then successfully resisted anything new in all areas. It's fun watching everyone get all excited about stuff tho.

I try to spend all my time here saying Hi to newcomers mostly.

Yeah I haven't moved backwards, but I like where I'm at and am staying right here. I'm not too into temp control. Any higher wattages or drippers I'm just going to burn through more juice. I still buy lots of new flavor juices though. I'm not seeking for an adv or anything, I just love trying new juice!

What most are searching for is tootle puffing. Cloud chasing is just part of the search for perfection.

Im done buying mods until further notice. I cant imagine it getting better than my hexohm v2 and my cherrybomber and if those fail for whatever reason i have a handful of mechs to back me up. I continue to seek out rdas though and keep the ones i dont use for keepsake. Sometimes when i feel nostalgic ill even build a flavor set on the quasar or igo for ....s n giggles.

I never regressed, I just never progressed

I seriously found devices that work for my style of vaping and never got caught up in the thirst for more stuff. Even my liquid needs are simplistic. I vape one thing, all day, everyday.

Once I had the device figured out, it fits me. Granted the device was in its second or third version before I got it. I waited till all the bugs were worked out.

I've been at this for about 16 months now. After a year of frenzied buying, I've only bought 3 mods in the last 6 months. Picked up a few tanks and a handful of Fasttech Mini RDAs.

I see all the new stuff out there, but there's just nothing tripping my trigger that I *HAVE* to have. I'm eyeballing a bottom feeder, just to see what it's like. I may look for another RDA, but I want to practice my building and wicking skilz on what I have for now.

I DIY my juice, so really, my quest is to perfect "that juice" that I can't live without :)

I'm actually glad that I've decided I don't have the next new shiny.... It's done wonders for my bank account ;)

Hmmm for about 2.5 years I used a provari with a gg atomizer. Started looking around for something else, maybe a little simpler. Ended up going with a reo and bottom fed atomizer. Easier/quicker to build, faster to clean and rewick. Been happy at the new place for about 4 months.

For eliquids, enjoyed trying all sorts of new things, got into diy (but like cooking didn't like playing around and waiting), tested out making my own naturally extracted tobacco flavorings (but got tired of the messing around and how gunky they could be.) I started vaping unflavored at work and mtype at home. After awhile I just switched to unflavored, which I think I have been doing over six months or so.

Think I am good where I am at. Cheap and easy to make juice, think 200 ml of 12mg strength costs less thank 6 dollars, and that will be cheaper once I start using my 100mg strength rather than the 60mg strength I am using now. And I rewick 2 devices once a week, and rebuild two devices about once a month.

    Easy peazy lemon squeezy.

I started with egos and joye 510s and the "disposable" attys. 4 years later I still use them lol. I did graduate from the black carts to a clear cart tank like thing (apparently I am on the only person on earth who likes these!). I also believe in backups so I have lots. so when all my ego/joye 510s/cart tanks are gone I will start using my reo, which I went ahead and invested in. on the reo I will be using the "disposable" attys :) I also only vape unflavored. I get enough vapor to make me happy. I am lost these days on all the new stuff. I am glad though that I am settled!
