I have 2 MVP's the original one is almost a year old and still used every day and charged every night. I like the concept of the eleaf, but with perhaps a year or more useful life on my MVP's I won't consider one unless one of them dies. I'm thinking that about the time I'm ready for another backup there will be something new and better out anyway.

I just left my Ego with Aero tanks for an Istick with an IBTanked (19mm) and Smok single coil carto. My Ego's (650 mAh) only lasted 7-8 hours. This seems to last about 3 days for me, plus it is a lot more discreet for work. The variable wattage/voltage and battery power indicator are especially helpful as well.
I shocked at how much better the flavor is with the carto/tank system. I thought Aero's and Nautilus were supposedly the hot ticket these days. On my setup, there are a few downsides: carto and tank is a bit more fussy/hassle when refilling (but I only do it once a day - nice) and I use more juice because it tastes better. I fired up my Aero this morning and it was like drinking a lite beer after being used a Sam Adams. It was still beer, just not as good.

You are really asking very tough question.
Imagine someone asking:
Should I buy vodka?
Should I buy whiskey?
Should I buy rum?
It can generate a lot of advices, and quite different ones.
I do not have eleaf nor nautilus mini, but I do believe it can be a good upgrade regarding your current setup.
Anyway, if I want whiskey, but just have vodka, I’d be still reasonably happy.

What am I, chopped liver? What about us Tequila lovers? lol

best regards, larry mac

p.s., just ordered an eleaf istick yesterday. Gots to have at least one of everything!

p.s.s., gonna use it with my new Nautilus Minis. Lovin those things!

Looks awesome! Can't wait to get mine... got my nautilus mini and im ready... love the drip tip on your mini. What is it?
The Isticks are flying off the shelves and are hard for vendors to keep in stock. I have 2 of them and I feel quite sure you'll be delighted with it.

Here's a few pics I took of mine to wet your appetite. I think it looks best with 19mm width tanks, especially the Nautilus Mini with the stock glass tank.

Thanks for the feedback everyone, very interesting stuff. I really appreciate it. I've bitten the bullet and ordered the istick and the nautilus mini (can't wait)... I think, for my needs; as a step up from starter kits and at the price it is it seems I cant go too far wrong. It's on pre-order but apparently in stock within the week, seems to be a lot of hype, and demand for, this device... Looking forward to getting into vaping seriously... before long I'll have built my own .6 ohm coil for a mech mod hehe.

Thanks for great feedback... It's much appreciated. Great community you have here and I'm delighted to have found it.. and also to have experienced such a warm welcome. Thanks again.

p.s. Ireland just got a draw with Germany; whoop whoop

You can't do better than an iStick with a Nautilus tank. The new BVC coils are fantastic. You might want to get a pack of regular Aspire BVC coils for your current BDC tank. You will be amazed with the flavor produced by the BVC coils. If you decide to get an iStick get one that has the ego adapter. The adapter is great for preserving the 510 connection on the iStick and you will be able to use either 510 or ego tanks.

I got a bvc from my local today and to be honest whilst the flavor is amazing, i've had problems with gurgling and leaking, could be my tank or maybe i got a dud? Thanks that's a great tip, I'm not to bothered about appearance and anything that will prolong it's life is good by me, nice one.

If you got a single-coil (BVD), please remember that iStick doesn't down-regulate. The lowest voltage it can output is 4.2v. Be very careful when using low resistance single-coil atties.

If the OP doesn't mind me butting in for a second I'd like to ask a question?
Love my carto tanks. Originally ordered the two nautilus' s for istick cuz I heard people were burning up cartos cuz the istick runs higher/hotter than standard. So im curious as to what ohm cartos you are using successfully on the istick without burning em up? Maybe your juice pg/vg ratio too? I appreciate the input :)

Thanks very much, good advice... is it best then to stick to 1.8ohm bvd's in the nautilus mini rather than 1.6 and keep the voltage low? I need to read up on voltage and wattage etc to be honest. pretty clueless with regard to this.

You can't keep your voltage low on iStick. That's the problem! The lowest it will go is 4.2v.

1.8Ω single coil is too low for iStick, IMO. You'll be getting lots of dry hits. You can use dual-coils safely, though. And watch Phil's video for more information on iStick's (faulty) voltage regulation.

Disclaimer: This is the most simplistic explanation and is addressed to new vapers or vapers who are happy within the recommended "just right" power zone (4.5-7 watts) and use stock coils.

Ohm's Law as it pertains to vaping is really not that complicated--and it's very useful when you want to know what you're doing.

Voltage and wattage are often misunderstood by new vapers. Wattage is the power (heat, sweet spot) that your PV (battery and atomizer) generates. Wattage = Voltage (of your battery) squared divided by Resistance (Ω) of your atomizer [P=V[SUP]2[/SUP]/R]. If you're not good at math, don't worry, use this easy calculator:

Online Conversion - Ohm's Law Calculator

Of course, if you own a VW (variable wattage) device, you don't really need this calculator because your device will do the math for you.

The wattage you want, especially at the beginning of your vaping career, should be somewhere between 4.5 and 8.5 Watts. Anything lower than 4.5 watts may not vaporize your juice properly and will not produce enough warmth and vapor. Anything above 8.5 watts increases the risk of burning the filler in your cartomizers (if you're using them) or dry with your clearomizers.

There are, of course, other variables, like eliquid and JDD (juice delivery devices) that you're using on your batteries. Seven watts on a filler type cartomizer may feel different than the same 7 watts on a fillerless clearomizer or a dripping atomizer. The same is true for different eliquids; tobaccos, chocolate and coffees generally require more wattage (heat), while fruit and other delicate flavors do better with less heat. Everyone's sweet spot is different--those are just very general guidelines.

If you are using dual coil atomizers, things get a bit more confusing. Dual coil atties consist of two coils configured in parallel, which means that a 2.1Ω atty is really two 4.2Ω coils--so you have to calculate your wattage based on the 4.2Ω number--not 2.1Ω--roughly. Dual coil atties require more wattage than singles, but not quite twice as much. They produce more vapor due to increased surface. I usually increase the power (wattage) by ~50% when using dual coils; for example, if I like 6 watts with a single coil atty, I start at 8-9 watts with a dual coil atty. That's just my preference--YMMV. When in doubt--start low and adjust up as needed.

If you are interested in high wattage (and/or sub-ohm)vaping, that's a different conversation altogether--and not my area of expertise. :)

Experiment and you'll find your own bliss in no time!

The chart below is a good guide to safe vaping, even though some think it's a bit conservative.

I see some comments that single coil Protank heads won't work but they will. The tank I'm using on mine 98% of the time is a mini Davide with a 2.2 ohm single coil I rebuilt ages ago, have rinsed with hot water and dry burned many times, and it vapes like a champ producing monster clouds. It shows to be running 3.0 volts at 4.0 watts and no problem at all. Refill tank daily and it just keeps on trucking.

I still occasionally use an old Aspire ET-S glassomizer with the new BVC coil and never had a gurgling or leaking problem. It's a really good vape nearly as good as the Nautilus. I vape 30 pg and 70 vg which works well with the BVC coils. If you vape very thin eliquids this might be getting too much juice into the coil chamber thus causing the gurgling. More than likely though the problem is too tight a draw which also gets too much juice into the coil chamber. I believe that you need more airflow but I am not experienced enough to tell you how to increase the airflow. Maybe one of our more seasoned members can help with how to increase the airflow.
As a last resort you might consider checking with your local shop for a solution.
