Is Provape in danger of becoming like Blackberry?

rounding third and heading home...
To be fair, there should be 3 options

Who uses more than 20 watts now
Who sees the possibility of needing 20 watts in the future
Who has no need for 20 watts now or at any time in the future.

I only use 15 watts now, but since I was using 7-8 watts a month or so ago, I can easily see myself exceeding 20 watts by years end (depeding on what Aspire/Kanger/etc. come up with)

i was just like you until i got my delta triple coil tank system - now i routinely go over 20 watts and usually vape it at 21-24 watts. it just rocks with more vapor and(more importantly)FLAVOR than i have ever experienced in a pre-built tank - you know the kanger/aspire twins are not going to let that market go untouched for long. yes, i am afraid provape missed the boat here. 10 more watts and they would open up a boat load of more buyers. it is obvious they don't care whether someone like me buys one or not. that's ok, they know who they want to sell to and they know who they don't want to sell to. luckily, there are plenty of mods out there and more coming every day to satisfy the needs of vapors who want more.than 20watts. guess i will never have a provari after all-just continue to be told what a great device it is and why we should have one. now i can honestly ignore it knowing they don't have a device i want and/or need.

Provape wouldn't go out of business if they didn't announce the P3. I can't see myself using more then 20 watts.

I can assure you that Mr. Gmu's tongue was planted firmly in his cheek when he typed that.

I fought the same urge myself, much earlier in the day.

So as promised I said I'd report back when I actually got my Provari. So I've been running it through it's paces for 24 hours and I must say I love it. I don't tind the single button control that big of a problem. Yeah it's a lot of pushes but frankly I don't change voltage that often and only do that and the ohm check if I'm grabbing a tank I've not used in a while and don't remember what coil is in it. THe Nautilus greatly simplified things for me as I run 1.8's in all 5 of em.

So, a bit of history - I had a specific problem I was trying to solve. My VAMO5 does a damn good job for the $50 the full kit cost me. BUT when the battery dips below 3.6V I notice that the coils start to taste burnt and below 3.5 the vapor production drops. My MVP doesn't develop the burnt problem "in yellow" but it too drops off in vapor production. Cool fire, same deal as MVP. EVIC - haven't used it in a year so I can't remember.

Everyone raves how good the PV is at regulating so I did some tests:

VAMO V5 (Set at 4.8 on 1.8 Ohm Coil) Batt 4.1V. Actual output 4.64
VAMO V5 (Set at 4.8 on 1.8 Ohm Coil) Batt 3.6V. Actual output 4.35 (and burnt taste)
VAMO V5 (Set at 4.8 on 1.8 Ohm Coil) Batt 3.4V. Actual output 4.34 (and burnt taste)

Provari Mini (Set at 4.8 on 1.8 Ohm Coil) Batt 4.1V. Actual output 4.76
Provari Mini (Set at 4.8 on 1.8 Ohm Coil) Batt 3.6V. Actual output 4.75
Provari Mini (Set at 4.8 on 1.8 Ohm Coil) Batt 3.4V. Actual output 4.75

Top top it off I hit it until it shut off from a dead battery and it was giving me 4.74 - 4.75.

So nutshell is it does a much better job. I need to do a similar test with the MVP out of curiosity. I surmise the reason my coils taste burned on the VAMO is the 33hz PWM is hitting that thing with 6V too long trying to compensate for the declining battery. Too lazy to break out my scope to prove that though. :)
