Is quitting analogues meant to be this easy?

I Am using medium nicotine with my e cigarette. I think its 11mg. I try the high and get dizzy and feel high lol. First thing in the morning I want a cigarette. I will keep on vaping also.

Do you just have cartridges or do you have liquid on hand too? I'm buying the liquid now and getting it in 36 mg and diluting it down to 18, which is my norm through the day. But the couple of times I was really having a bad craving, I put just a couple of drops on my cartridge of the 36 and that did the trick. I have overdone it with the 18 a couple of times. I got all jittery. Not sure what that's about, but even my hands were shaking. Haven't had that happen since the first few days so I guess I've adjusted.

Gabby,

I use 36mg all day, every day....and I use the usb ecig (both with a manual switch and without). Although it may feel satisfying while I'm doing it (like the other day when I was vapin' that heavenly butter rum....yummy!).....as soon as I stop, I feel like an analog.

Also, I don't have the liberty of keeping this "glued to my lips" 24/7 either. I can't do that in the office, or at meetings, or when I go out to peoples' homes (for my job).

Anyhoo....I think it is just something with me....but I persevere....and I don't lose hope. It still could happen some day!

Lu

Keep at it! Hmmm, the "glued to the lips" may be a big part of it. I mean, I'm not doing it constantly all day long but if I want to sit here and puff away for an hour straight, I sure can. My husband has a problem like you, at work, and just sneaking a few puffs here and there often leaves him wanting a real cig, and that's exactly what he ends up doing. That's probably similar to what you're dealing with. I think you guys just sorta get started and the ole brain is screaming for more and you don't have time to get it there. Maybe that's what it is.

I done away with cartridges. Done that and now I only use liquid. I too don't keep the e -cig clued to my mouth. I never thought to do this. I can smoke most of the time anytime I want too. I think I will order me the 36mg. I have not tryed that high yet. I have used the 24mg and like I said, dizzy high feeling. Than Only use the 36mg whenever the crave is high. Got a new plan and I hope this is the answer. I need to find some e-juice that I really love those.

I stopped smoking analogues on New Years eve, I thought that the e-cig would make life without real ciggies bearable, but Christ I never thought for a second that it would make it this easy. I literally haven't thought about analogues once.
Is it the same for any of you fellow quitters?

kinda late reply but here it is anyway.

i stopped smoking the day i got my 901.
for a hardcore smoker like me,
it was surprisingly easy just like that and i never looked back.
although i don't have cravings for analogs,
i think of trying one to feel the difference,
which of cause i will not do...but i think of it sometimes.

Wow, if I wasn't so happy for you guys quitting, I'd be jealous! I have had a bear of a time quitting, although I'm feeling very positive about how far I've come: I went from 1+ carton a week to roughly 1 carton a month. I'm still working on my "triggers", but it seems I have certain times that just demand an analog: one in the car on the way to work and one on the way home, then one after dinner and one or two before bed. They taste disgusting, but I can't seem to get past that craving. I'm going to try getting a higher dose liquid for those tough times, and see if that helps (I'm on 16 mg right now). Hopefully Steve @ PureSmoker gets a new shipment of juices in soon, I'm ready to shop!

Seems the MG isn't high enough for you. I smoked quite a bit so I know you feel. I have 16mg juice and although it tastes good, on it's own it just isn't enough. I would have gotten higher but Steve didn't have the flavor I wanted any higher. Right now I'm using High Carts with some medium juice and it's working great. When I was using medium cart I was still smoking. Sounds like you just need a higher MG of nic.

i wouldn't necessarily say it was easy for me but I planned on quitting when i order my 901. It's rare that a day goes by that I don't crave an analog but it's all willpower. I have to agree that a fresh battery and a top off really helps kill that craving.

The two biggest things that keep me vaping and away from analogs are the little counter below showing me all the dookie I could have inhaled and all the money I've saved - and the fact that I snuggle with my honey without him making the "ew, you smell like an ashtray" face.

When I have working equipment, it is totally easy to stay off the stinky analogs. It is when I'm around my analog smoking wife that I have a tough time. I have tried to get her into the vapor, but she is one of those overly picky people that can only smoke her stinky Marlboro 72's. I just got my new E-Cigar from E-Smoke Stop in Florida, and I'm back in my vapor comfort zone. I just need to figure out a way to get the e-smoke in my picky wife's hand. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.:p

Damn those blasted 72s. One of my coworkers was set to order an ecig and then he had to go find a some gas station that sells 72s. Since he's already a light smoker, he's now convinced that his habit isn't that bad with the little 72s.

It's okay though. I drive him home from work so he's not allowed to smoke them in the car. ha! My car is a vape only zone now...

Are there any Marlboro flavored E-Liquids out there that are close to the real thing? I doubt my wife would accept it, but it would be worth a try to get her to let go of the evil tobacco.

There's the MLB liquids from several different suppliers but I've heard it's nothing like the real thing.

I agree with both sides on the easy to quit subject. I've only had my e-cig a few days and now I am actually craving it. I think its how quickly the buzz hits you over analogues . But I still cant seem to drop the burden of actually lighting a real cig. I am hoping once my new juice/liquid gets here and my SEv2.0 starts producing hefty vapor then i will be truly satisfied smoking only it.

Just a thought here ... if you can't find any "tobacco" flavors that you feel she would find acceptable ... how about a favorite flavor of hers .. what does she love .. like maybe coffee .. or chocolate ... or cola ... the list goes on ... maybe get one that you know she really likes and have her try that .... kinda killing 2 birds with 1 stone so to speak ... getting her nicotine fix (which regardless of how we get it ... it's the purpose of the exercise in the end) plus a "flavor/taste" that she really likes .... hehe .. like I said .. just a thought :)

I have had her try several flavors in the sampler from Johnson Creek, but she didn't dig any of them. I think she doesn't like it because it wasn't her idea first! She is stubborn like that. I was thinking about a DIY liquid using the Marlboro tobacco, but I don't trust myself to do it right.;)

Try to Cola flavor for Puresmoker.com that's what I use and it's great. I had a tough time with the cart flavor as they tasted a little bleh to me. Also Steve from Puresmoker.com has a pink e-smoke. I suppose that's cute to a chick, you could always try it out. Or perhaps tell her how important it is to you...

After I got my Ecig, I was craving an analog the first day. I guess it's the habit of smoking them. During the second day, I could not be around someone smoking analog. It's amazing how easy it is to quit smoking after using these things. It makes me wonder how I started smoking in the first place. Also, I went on a trip to vegas and was out of liquid. Surprisingly I wasn't craving nicotine. Although I missed using my eicg, I made it without withdrawls. I guess its because when you smoke analogs they make you feel like crap mentally and physically. Therefore, you want to smoke more because it makes you feel better. But with the ecig I feel so much heathier, I can go a day without it because I already feel so good. =) What a blessing.

When I first started using ecigs, I would have an ecig in one hand and an analog in the other. Then one day I realized I wasn't taking any drags from the analog just holding it lol. Now I'm vaping almost exclusively except when I accidently leave them at work like i did last night :( and had to smoke my analogs - yuck!!! I went into work early just so I could get my ecigs and have a few drags before I had to start working :p
