Is quitting analogues meant to be this easy?

I, too, found it ridiculously easy to get off the analogs using an e-cig. My brother-in-law as well.

I got my DSE901 just before x-mas and haven't craved an analog since. I got a carton of analogs for x-mas, so I ended up smoking them, but not because I needed them but because I didn't want to waste them.

I know people don't want to advertize these things as stop smoking devices, but for a lot of people that's what they are. In other words, if you're only vaping, then you're not smoking. What else can it be for these people other than a direct route to being a non-smoker. Of course, the nicotene addiction is still there, but it's still there if you use nicotene gum, patches, etc.

If governements gave each smoker an e-cig they would cut the smoking rate of their populations dramatically in a very short time. But, hmm, oops -- where would they replace all that juicy tax revenue they enjoy off of tobacco products?

But yes, for myself and others -- it is that easy.

I still have a few analogues. I've had a few today at work to have break outside.

Nowhere near as many as I used to smoke though. It's much more convenient in the evening to sit and vape on the sofa rather than having to go and blow smoke out of a window especially with the temperature as cold as it is at the moment.

I'll probably totally switch to e-smoking this year, but I'm not too concerned if I don't.

It defiantly isn’t easy for me, to make the switch to e-cigs. I health is not great and I know that my long-term smoking is factor, I’ve been smoking over 30 years. I have tried every other way to quit and couldn’t do it. I do like the e-cig so far and hopefully it will work, to help me avoid the analogs. I did get the courage to add the no smoking banner to my signature and hopefully I can keep it there.

hey
just wanted to share my joy with members here about quitting the analogues!
Ive been a heavy smoker for over 20 years without quitting, started at 15 and im now 35,
A friend of mine turned me on to these just before xmas, although he didnt actually have one we looked at bald middle aged guys on youtube blowing out quite thick smoke and giving their thoughts to the overal experience (quite funny), anyway, I decided id try, I had no intention of giving up smoking either, so I went through some reviews and ended up getting the intellicig EVO
It came this morning,
I HAVENT HAD A REAL ... ALL DAY!
AND
I DONT CRAVE ONE!!!
I can tell you, that for me, thats saying something!
Granted I did actually prime myself beforehand, I told myself that it WOULD be different but essentially prolly the best substitute around.
The first drag I pulled I got a huge cloud of smoke going (I must be a natural vapourer!) and got a good kick in my throat, I was blown away! Ive been chugging on this thing all day, blimey I must be so high on nicotine right now
anyway
better then smoking real fags! (sorry guys in the USA)
anyway, whats the best tasting liquid then, whose tried coconut??8-o

I'm amazed how easy it is, but it's only been one day. I know day three will be the worst.
I had an urge last night before bed. Strong urges when I got up. And just now had an urge when I saw a pack of my roommate's when I didn't have an e-cig in my pocket.

But it sure is easier than replacing cigarettes with a pipe so far, I had pipes going constantly the first few weeks I did that.
I think if the urge for a cigarette gets too great I'll pull out a pipe.

Yea Leaford helped me out whether he knew it or not. I watched just about every video he had. The bird was funny!

I also watched another amusing guy from Scotland talking about putting Tape on the RN4081 to get more smoke out of it. "Now that's a gooood smooke" Good Times

That'd Be Rusty the Scottish Lug!

Well, I've had a total of 8 packs of analogs in ~ 4 weeks, which is still pretty amazing (I was at 1 carton+ every week!), and I have decided that TODAY is the day to quit for good. I need to get some low and high dose juice for the times that the medium doesn't cut it (high when the cravings are bad, low late at night), but I think I can manage between now and when the next shipment comes in. Fingers crossed!!!

i was smoking 2-3 packs a day for 30 years now....2 weeks before dec 12th 2008... i found out about ecigarette ...bumped in to this forum ....saw all kinds of videos ...revews..etc
And i said to my sellf if the e cigarette is half as good as they say i will be able to quit.
December 12th i received my pen style ..i can not describe the excitement i was feeling unwraping the buble wrap...no...i did not wait to fully charge the battery ...
I took my first big drag.... and i knew then, that i whould never smoke another (analog) cigarette ever again...i do not even miss analogs
