So if I ..... my finger, with the autocensor block it?

Edit: Well look at that, I'm not even allowed to poke my finger with a needle without someone getting dirty thoughts.

We'll see how long it takes for choad to make the list.
I was going to respond but it would have been censored or moderated

Sorry to burst your bubble but hohmwrecker G2 works fantastic with kanthal & nichrome. I'm vaping KA1/nichrome mixed wire fused Clapton from lightning vapes @120 watts 600f, right now on my G2 & it is working great. I must be lying or dreaming tho right? Lol

Do some research or try for yourself before making false statements.

So, out of curiosity, are you ever hitting 600F? If you're in TC mode, but have the temp so high that you never reach it, is that really TC?

I missed that :shock::shock::shock: 600F :shock::shock::shock: Really :shock::shock::shock: I really don't think that would be healthy to vape at that temp. JMHO :shock::shock::shock:

i think the Hohmtach should add "cold fusion technology" to the FSK spec sheet along with their "Electronic Ping Timing", "Psycoil" and "Multistage Stepping System". i'm a simple guy, so i'll take the overpriced DNA mods.......

Hey, at least cold fusion is real. Sorta.

Why the hate? If you don't like the product or can't get it to work, ok say that. I have their box and have no issues getting tc to work on kanthal or nichrome. Yes, it took me a bit of playing with their system to get it to where i wanted it, but it does work. Do i care what they phrase it as? Nope. I care that, for me, they have a great product that works like i want it to work. I've had dna devices, they work fine, but they aren't for me. I don't run around bad mouthing them.

you're right. if the board works for you and you're happy with it, that's all that counts. i just find Ben and his marketing tactics......shady. i bought the G2, board only, a few months ago and played around with it for testing purposes. i wasn't impressed. but that's my experience. if you like it, use it.

Here's an honest question....

Does anyone think that there is a lot of TC hate because most devices make using TC easily and/or properly quite difficult?

I ask that as my Snow Wolf and SX Mini (and the RX200's I used to own) were a royal PITA to get TC working quickly and well.

I played around with a friend's Smok G-Priv recently and immediately ordered one. TC is super simple to dial in and the touch screen should appeal to many vapers that have shied away from TC. Cool device all around, but it seems to do TC well.

I personally DON'T use TC currently as temp mode is just easier and I get a satisfying vape, but with the simplicity of TC in my new device, I will likely be playing around with it a lot more.

Interested to know if many people MIGHT love TC but just gave up on it due to a steep learning curve or difficulty to set properly....

When I first started vaping with "real" vape stuff, I stuck to wattage only. When I first tried to mess with TC, I had real issues negotiating the menus, especially with several different boxes all from different manufacturers. When I got it working OK on my CF4, I liked it and got my first DNA mod. Setting that up through software was great! After that I was hooked. Even took the time to learn setup for my non-DNA mods for those that worked OK in TC.

I do think TC can be cumbersome to work if the manufacturer didn't think about a simple and logical menu to handle the setup. I don't think it's the primary reason some folks avoid TC, but it does make starting out a steeper learning curve than wattage. Never mind different metals and builds all needing their own setup. I do understand how that can be a negative for some folks.

I've been using temp control exclusively for 15 months so I can say with authority that it's definitely pointless, which leaves me with a mystery. Why am I still using it? What is wrong with me? I wasn't one of the cool kids in highschool either. Some things never change.

I can't speak for other devices, but the DNA board makes it super easy, just plug your wire info into steam engine and it sets you up with a csv file, upload that to your device and you'll never have to fiddle again bc it maps out the entire resistance range, after that it just... works.

Though it does kinda such that they don't do that for you, the fact that the factory material settings are wrong means that you have to delete the stock material list for TC to work reliably...

So yeah, I guess. but consider this. it's easier and less time consuming than navigating through a message board and making a post.

Forgetting for the moment the overly complex iffy builds of iffy wire being used with iffy atomizers and mods I think many find TC mode to be easy and plug-and-play.

What I find pointless is attempting to regulate the temperature of wire that has ZERO to very little change in resistance as it heats up.

    When:
    • water (H2O) boils at 224F
    • PG boils at ~380F
    • VG boils at ~560F
(please recall that when mixed the boiling point of the combined liquid is effected by the ratio's of the other liquids)

IMHO: I think it is rather pointless to "vape" at 600F.

Agreed that it's pointless to use TC for 600F, it defeats the purpose... Even if you go only by visuals rather than advice... Start dry firing some cotton at 350F and increase each time by 5, an accurate board will start to singe it at around 400F, even once wet, anything over 450F (and that's being generous) you're roasting your cotton... at that point you may as well just use wattage mode.

What I find pointless is attempting to regulate the temperature of wire that has ZERO to very little change in resistance as it heats up.

But the other thing that's not quite right, for example here is the TFR range I use for titanium...
