Lol, I get a kick out of how most threads get derailed and turn into arguments irrelevant to the OP. Though, the OP in this thread was poor from the get-go. I also laugh at how people use the whole, ' vape with what works for you' as their argument. People that can't afford the popular mods, justify it by saying they're not worth it or that somthing else works just as good. Hahaha.

Carry on..

The thing is, it seems those people end up with a box of junky mods which they have spent more on than if they had just bought a quality mod, and by quality mod, I mean a ProVari...

To think, I almost got a LavaTube instead of my first ProVari...

@freeall ~ I feel you but there's always gonna be a device that works just as good to the person using it. I find it's easier for me to let them dream the dream than try to convince them otherwise....especially since I'm not spending my money on what they use. :vapor:

Exactly. Years ago a women I dealt with through work wanted to get into vaping. I told her to spend the extra money off the start and bypass all the other crap that's out there. Ironically, she got a Provari mini and loved it. I told her I wish I would of started with a quality mod rather than spending stupid amounts on junk. With all the money I've blown when I started out, I coulda bought 200 Provari's. Quality over quantity.

It is kind of entertaining, and yet some good often does come from such discussions. On a personal note, both ProVari and REO were not even a blip on my radar back when I was new here, but seeing the repeated, almost rabid proponents of each espousing the benefits of their particular favorite in the epic debate threads, caught my attention. I thought to myself, they must be on to something to be so headstrong in their support. Only through reading through these threads and learning the virtues of each device did it become clear to me why this was. Sad that too many of these threads devolved into utter chaos and personal animosities. They are, after all, only products to serve a need.

And that's fine. But most people, atleast that I've seen, have never used or owned a Provari, but say that it's too expensive or that it's overpriced. It's not overpriced. People are just too cheap to spend the extra money for a quality PV.

This + 100

somehow subohm and cloud chasing is supposed to be all there is to vaping now, like everything else just suddenly ceased to exist.

Even busardo rants on this in the latest lemo2 review.

Its funny everyone buying 150 w box mods yet 2/3 of the users run them under 30 watts

On a side note, if your kayfun leaks you need to fix your setup. Mine lays on my car seat all day and not a drop.

I have the drippers with the sub ohm coil builds and its just not me. I like an RTA like a kayfun running at 10 W. I spent a long time vaping with ego's and CE5's and I like them. Probably have around 30 Ego batts and close to 100 CE5's laying around here and I found them very enjoyable to vape with but the RTA's takes vaping to the next level for me. With the Kayfun lite leaking I believe the way it was laying with the air hole always up allowed it to lose its vacuum and leak. Also was running 50/50 PG/VG. Im using 70/30 VG/PG now and it seldom leaks but I know it has the potential so I leave the clouper or Istick standing up with them on it. The three Kayfun V4's I have dont leak a drop no matter what.

With the Provari part of the discussion, many get the feeling the Provari owners are attempting to "look down" on those who dont own them with contempt. I as well as others really dont care what your vaping with and I look at it the same way I look at those who claim the only good nicotine to use is the outrageous priced one in DIY. If I am happy with using what I have purchased, and am happy with my set up then its really mind over matter. I dont mind so it doesnt matter. If you want to share your shinies with me, cool. Would love to see them and even discuss them but dont ever tell me what I am using is sub par just because you spent a fortune on what you have and I didnt. Just my :2c:

I have a LavaTube, well actually, it's the third one, bought once, twice replaced ;) That one year warranty came in handy :) Still works fine.

ProVape could start selling the ProVari for a dime and people would still claim they're too expensive. It's become the habit of those who have never owned one. It's even funnier now.....it's actually one of the most inexpensive high end mods on the market.....yet you can still hear the shouts..."outrageously overpriced" or "yesterdays technology..." Since when did creating an "outrageously over powered and under engineered" box become cutting edge tech? Crazy...

Agreeing & adding what's called the fear factor. Many new vapers get turned off by the price because they're grappling with the unknown....Whether or not vaping work for them. So worth that said they don't want to commit so much money up front which makes sense to me.

Asbestoes4004, freeall, you just proved my point. You look on anyone who doesnt bow to your awesomeness because your spent an outrageous amount on a mod, with contempt. As far as I am concerned the discussion is pointless because of falsely inflated ego's such as yours so yall go ahead and slap each other on the back and tell each other how great you are. I have better things to do with my time.

I didn't get that from reading their posts.. What they say has a lot of truth. It's the same for any non vape related merchandise. You generally get what you pay for. Sorry, but a $30 device will never be as well made as a $200 mod.

I have had plenty of super duper high end gear. Some of it almost impossible to get your hands on and guess what? I also just bought a eGo One. Why? Because it was only $60 and I wanted to check it out. I do not expect it to last very long however. It's a throw away device.

I don't understand why you are getting upset. If you want to buy $30 mods then by all means have it. If they keep you off cigarettes then that is really all that matters.

Most people start off with cheap mods. Once they decide to stick with vaping they upgrade to better quality.

Vaping gear is really no different than any other product in my opinion. You can go cheap, middle of the road, high end or super high end but you do get what you pay for..

I'm a big fan of buying used high end vape stuff ... like these two $55 Provaris that work as good as the day they were new.
