The new Provari is the new Provari....
Im not one but Provari owners I don't think are going to like a direct comparison.
Do think though that the technology and price ( well perhaps to some extent) has improved a bit since.
They're only worth what they're worth to the user though.
Can't afford ( insert whatever device here ) but could afford pack after pack carton after carton of cigarettes every day, week, month & year without having to scrimp & sa
This place use to be full of the 'Provari is to expensive' threads. Now the Provari is the cheapest quality mod on the market. I bought a new one for $110, it even has a fancy ZenKote paint job.
I bought an iStick50 for no other reason than to see what I was missing out on. Turns out I wasn't missing out on a thing. So now I have a 50 watt disposable PV set at 8 watts.![]()
I never bought into the I can't afford it debate. No matter what the situation was affording cigarettes was never a issue. I look at the cost of a Provari as being 4 cartons of cigarettes. Not outrageous at all.

I would love to pick up a Provari, and if I stay the course for, say, 6 months, then I would feel justified in getting one. But in this era of monster-sized subohm tanks, what toppers are you guys putting on the Provari?

Currently one is outfitted with a Goblin tank. The other a Scuba tank with Diver V2. I don't need to sub-ohm on my Vari's--got other devices for that.I would love to pick up a Provari, and if I stay the course for, say, 6 months, then I would feel justified in getting one. Just to be clear; I wasn't comparing the 2 mods as far as performance goes or credibility. Nor was I trashing the istick. The Provari will always have a loyal following, much like anything else in life. Some love it, some hate it, some don't care.
My OP was terrible. You can't compare the 2.
I just see a lot of people telling newbies to get an istick, where as years ago, it was all Provari this, Provari that.
Cheers.

Have you locked in the wattage? You hold down both arrow keys at the same time and the screen will flash locked or unlocked. You definitely need to keep it locked or any accidental presses will change the watts.
I own two Istick 20W and both threads are worn. I am using two sided tape just to vape on them. SUCKS LEMONS Big time. Any suggestions??Heya freeall. Yes, it's abstolutely 'Stick country around these parts lately.
I have several. And I have several Provis as well. And a few <cough> other devices as well. They all serve some purpose dependent on mood, time, carry weight, event, etc.
I see the 'Sticks as the eGo of 2011, the Twist of 2012, and the iTazte V3 of 2013. To me they are an inexpen$ive little 'disposable' device, and I'll enjoy them til they bugger off to the great mod heaven in the sky.
My Provis tho..... they'll stay. They'll be the same consistent and lush vape givers they were from Day One.
I don't even see a way of comparing the two.![]()
