Yes, I said Cartomizer, not Cartridge.

This is a how to pull the entire contents out of your cartomizer, to deep clean the wires, coil, and polyfill or replace it. You can also switch from one metal carto to another. Hopefully opening ideas for other people and would LOVE to see some future Carto mods (even tho I drip)... I'm really thinking about getting cartomizers for my eGo now :p

Enjoy!

PS - if this belongs somewhere else, please let me know.

Yes, this does take A LOT of patience to do @ 1st. Esp when you're trying to pull it off without gettting too pull happy like I did in the vid, LOL.

TYSM hun!!

great idea. but it doesn't work 510s. I just broke the threads off. I'll try again tonight.

indeed it does. I've done it with 3 cartomizers for my 510/eGo... try heating it up to break that glue seal between the metal. possibly a jet/torch style lighter (aka a crack lighter, LOL) or use a 2-4 second heat at the end with a blow torch. 510's seem to be glued a little better. but it's possible with a 510 carto AND atty, tho the atties i will say i broke threads off on my 1st attempt... 2nd attempt went better when i applied heat using my old torch style lighter. it's a butane lighter, but it has like a super crazy torach flame. i think u know what i mean :)

awesome, thanks. Really like how you get it apart, was using pliers and messed up more than I fixed.

I try to avoid using pliers on threads. It DEF damages more than it's worth. Ask the 8 I killed a few days ago. LOL!!

Another thing that works is putting a 2 - 4" cylinder tube slightly larger than the carto diameter (on the mouth side kind like a breaker bar) and then screwing the other end on the battery to get a better grip to get the glue to give. but again if you don't notice any give within the 1st say 6 push/pulls, try heating the threaded side of the carto or atty up and it'll loosen the grip of the glue.

The glue that holds the atty threads on reminds me of like an epoxy gorilla glue, crazy stuff!!

Just watch when using a blow torch for too long, you can damage wiring and other things too.

you are more of a mr. fix-it than most guys i know. props for an awesome mod. mos def gonna try this one out.

I blame my dad, not that it's a bad thing. My brother closest in age was a momma's boy and would rather sit and cook rather then do ur average manly things. So my dad with me around the age of 7 started showing me some pretty cool things. From Carpentry Skills to Electrical Skills (which I'm still a half whit when it comes to some elec stuff), but it's nice that I don't need a man in my life to get things done (no offense to men in ANY way). Plus my g/f says it's super awesome having a girl that knows how to fix/mod things. Sometimes she gets a little PO'd that I tinker around and mod things for hours on end, but it gets kinda boring being laid off atm.

My dad says I'm the "Jane of all trades" I say I just have a bunch of hobbies and can't make up my mind, but I also have a work background ranging from HVAC, Autobody, Machinist, etc.. so that helps sometimes too. Just sucks not having a steady money flow to feed my wants for my "hobbies" LOL

TY for props! And def try it out! I'm going to work on a 510 carto and atty video sometime today. So people see how I do it.... If I don't crash from staying up all night.

Thanks again!
