Is there a way to test a coil without connecting it to an atomizer?

I am wondering if there is a way to test a newly built coil without going thru the entire process of attaching it to the atomizer to discover that it is not the ohms that I want. Is there a way to test the coil on a multimeter without attaching the coil to the atomizer? Please help.

This is the best and easiest way to test ohms. Cartomizer and Atomizer Ohm Meter

If you shop around you probably can find it for cheaper.

About 6:30 into the video. You have to make sure that that 'bend points' (where he marks the length and where the meter shows the resistance you want, don't change, using non-resistance wire from the bend points to make the connection, otherwise the whole length of the wire you use will be the total resistance.
