The Green Smoke is pretty harsh plus they fill the cartos with juice made from 100% PG.

PG = more throat hit. VG = more vapor. Most people prefer a blend of PG and VG in their juice.

Edit: You may also be one of the few that are allergic to PG. There's a thread somewhere here on ECF discussing PG allergies.

Yeah, I had throat issues too until I figured out the whole "drink plenty of water" stuff I kept seeing on here meant drink more water.

I mean, I already drank more water than anyone else I've ever known. Why would I need to drink even more? But, I upped my already large water intake and the throat cleared up. Now it is just habit to drink water.

I bought a greensmoke kit ( yes im going to return it -.- just found this forum a little to late :p ).

But after half a day orso my troath hurts ALOT. I normally smoke a pack a day atleast and never had any troath problems. Anyone know if this is normal?

Yes!!

Hey, I replied in the other thread, but I'll just re-post.

When I used 100% PG I had the same problem if I vaped a lot in a single night. I switched to VG (by accidentally ordering it) and haven't had a throat problem since. It's all I use now.

Sore throat is also one of the symptoms of smoking cessation, and vaping can cause dehydration.

Rezyuz, please try some drinking some extra fluids before assuming that you're sensitive to either PG or VG ... oh, and give your body a little time to heal from the smokes too.

It's a process ... but you'll get there. Good luck and happy vaping!

100% PG made my throat and tongue very irritated and dry...VG is much smoother -- but using 100% VG greatly masks the flavor in standard pv's, and doesn't work well in cartomizers or tanks at all (doesn't wick well and often clogs them)...so, unless you're going to drip or get a mod, i'd go with a blend of both PG & VG, which is the best of both worlds, IMO.

80% PG, 20% VG is a very common blend offered by many vendors (or, you can make it yourself) -- much less harsh, yet still offers a decent throat hit, good flavor, and decent vapor.

Sore throat doesn't mean you're allergic to PG, so don't think you need to go to 100% VG if you don't want to. Try taking a sip of water before you vape, and sip every few minutes while vaping. Sip water because flavored drinks may affect how your vape tastes and make you think you don't like your juice. With that much irritation, though, you may wish to try 50/50 PG/VG juice just to see if it helps.

To your health! :toast:

I think it's normal. To buy the greensmoke kit that is. Did the same thing. Just didn't work at all for me. I suggest sending it back, throwing it away, or whatever and starting again. I would suggest an eGo tank type system but that's just me. Gazillions of choices available but you have learned like me that greensmoke is not at the top. Get better equipment and I suspect sore throat will no long be an issue.
