I must be one of the crazy few that uses around about 18mg in tanks and RDA's! Although I can chain vape a tank for hours. With dripping I go between 2 mins and an hour in between picking it up or else I will definitely overdo it. Part of it is watching how many drops I'm putting in there and how often. It's either a super effective way to vape, or a juice guzzler depending on your habits!

My objective is to move to 0mg nicotine eventually. While the nicotine addiction is certainly there, it's always been the sensation of smoking that's pulled me back. RDAs definitely satisfy that need. Got some VTC4s sitting here waiting for my mech to come in. Either gonna start cutting the juice I have with 0mg, or pick up some 6mg at the local B&M to see what I can handle in the iGo. What I do know is the 12mg I usually vape is way too much.

I didn't switch when getting into RBAs, but I needed to cut nicotine in half after a couple of weeks with deciohm coils... anything above 12 burns my throat now. I was thick headed to think I could run 0.7ohm coils and not lower nicotine from 24mg.

I normally vape 12mg nic in cartotanks. I put the same juice in my new Kayfun (first day) and had a buzz and slight disorientation the whole day. Later that night I diluted the 12mg with some unflavored VG (vegetable glycerin). Much more normal now.

How are you liking the kayfun? I don't think I've seen you post about one before.

I've only had my Kayfun Lite Plus for a couple of weeks. I REALLY like it! Much simpler to use than a Genny. I'm digging the flavor and vapor and the convenience factor. Only thing I don't like about it is having to drain the tank to change cotton wick, but that's a small inconvenience for all the positives so far.

I've tried a couple of Genesis-style RBA's in the past, and kinda put them away due to the typical issues that they have. Mainly being position dependent and needing to use primarily steel mesh wick (not my favorite medium). Since having the success with the Kayfun, I decided to give the AGA-T2's another go. They're ok, but I'll likely go back to using my dependable cartotanks instead of these.

No pics of the Kayfun yet, but here's the AGA-T2's.

Baditude, I'm happy to hear that you gave a Kayfun a try. I have 3 gennies pretty much collecting dust since I got my Kayfun. I completely agree that the Gennies are temperamental, and could never get a build that worked the way I want. SS mesh is a joke, AFAIK. The Kayfuns are hands down the best rebuildable tank around. Great vapor, great flavor, easy to build, and reliable. Just set it and forget it.

As has been stated, it's totally normal. I started with 12-18 in protanks, etc and went down to 0-6mg in RBAs and RDAs.

Btw, when you were vaping your .9ohm coil at 4.8 volts you were roughly vaping at 25 watts, not 10.5!

The simplest thing you can do with your 12mg juices is to just buy an equal amount of them in 0mg nic and mix them together, creating roughly a 6mg juice.

Yeah, all I used were carto tanks before kayfuns..I have 5 reliable clones now.. there are a few similar atomizers that don't require full dismantling to change wick. I think the kayfun is the only one that relies solely on a vacuum to deliver liquid to wick.

Edit - I've never liked mesh, but I'm considering ceramic or steel rope before I give up on genesis atomizers.

I picked up some XC-132 (ceramic wick) specifically for my RDA, but at $7 per foot, I'm hesitant to use it out of fear of effing up and wasting any of it. For now it sits in a bag looking pretty.
