Is this solder good for circuit board work

I am looking to buy high quality solder for electronics work but i can't fing any in small amounts , seems Kessler only sells larger spools .

Not sure where you've been looking but I've used 60/40 rosin core solder for a lot of years. See Kester Pocket Pack Solder 60/40

Not sure where you've been looking but I've used lead free, 60/40 rosin core solder for a lot of years.

"60/40" is 40% lead. I wouldn't call that "lead free".

Make sure you get some flux, there is no substitute for flux even tho the solders have some in it. Flux has a shelf life and I have yet to buy some cored solder that works as tho the flux was in best working shape. On wires ya flux core works decent but on boards/wire not as decent after you have flux'd, it looks pro with flux..

Ebay sells nice sized spools of solder, free ship makes it awesome..

BTW engineers swear by this flux pen I have not used it as i have a big ol bottle of some China flux thats awesome.

As far as flux... I like Chipquik's SMD291.

That stuff should be made from gold wow must be awesome flux..

The flux I use was all of 2 bucks and its great. China ships for long wait cause its a liquid was sucketh tho

A little corrosive for delicate board work (I still use it tho cleans up with iso but wow on batt contacts and superb exxxcellente' on 510 connector and wires to pins it works amazingly
