Is vaping hurting my lungs, or is it the aftermath of my cigarette smoking?

the fact that the wicks are made with silica kinda bothers me.that stuff when breathed in can cause serious lung deterioration. we had to deal with it at a mine i worked at.

that being said, i was a smoker since 13 to this year (31) with a 2 year break in between which i quit but not really cause i smoked cigars and gained 45 lbs, so it was far from a healthy experience overall.

im currently 80 plus days quit from a pack of 25 plus a day by switching to vaping.last year i was 230 lbs , got down to 215 while still smoking, and since quitting, i can now jog for the first time in my adult life and can blow through way more challenging work outs.

im now 196 which is the lightest ive been since i was 25 and have never been this light and a non smoker and i feel abesolutely great. i could never get this light before because i couldnt push myself in exercise due to gasping for air. that is not the case anymore and i chain vape sometimes lol.

take from that what you will.

also , my blood pressure last year was 158/98, 92 beats per min. today, no bp meds involved, by quitting smoking and exercising, my bp this week is 118/74. if vaping is harmful, then smoking was sado masachism. im 6 lbs away from 40 lbs gone since november and smoke free for 85 days. got a ways to go, but my health and how i feel is expotentially better.

how big i was in the red and white, smoking like a train. the black shirt is last week 85 days smoke free.

vaping was key in me probably not dying in the near future.
