Having been vaping for only a few months, I ran into a problem with flavors. I quickly found out I prefer tobacco to other flavors, although I will admit to being partial to coconut. I have tried several tobacco flavors from different suppliers, but I noticed that many of them are very acidic or taste like I'm vaping strong fruity flavors. Is it just my taste buds after years of analogs, or is this normal?

Thanks

Some folks have sensitivity to different things. Me...I can taste the metal in atomizers. However, there are a few vendors that use a form of citric acid to tone down their nic base. Not sure exactly what it's called. vermillionriverejuice is one I can think of right this minute. There juices are awesome by-the-way. Some of what you're experiencing is also from your healing process. You're going to go through a bunch of likes and dislikes when it comes to juices, only to find that 2 months from now, you'll love the dislikes and hate the likes. Drink plenty of fluid without caffeined to help speed up the healing and flush the toxins. This will also help you to keep your buds in check.

It could just be your body. One vendor I used gave some members of my family heartburn but I never had that issue at all. Couldn't hurt to try a few other vendors if that is possible and see if a different juice from someplace else feels less acidic. As another mentioned, lots of water always helps!!

Hi padejash and welcome to ECF. I DIY but I let my tobacco juices steep for a week+. Also I see you've been vaping for 3 months so don't take this next Q wrong...Are you drinking lottsa water. I drink 2 large glasses in the a.m. and 1 1/2 liters per day.

No issue there. I have always drunk lots of water and when I noticed my mouth getting dry with vaping, I drank even more. Between the bottles of water and coffee, I can fill a small bathtub. I tried cutting out the coffee, in case that was the problem, but no soap. Perhaps it is the pain medication the doctor has me on. Unfortunately I cannot stop that.

I just received some different juice today and just tried it. This tastes very sweet, almost caramel in flavor. I guess it depends on the supplier.

I use one near-bitter barely sweet juice (not sour which I think is acidic) and I use one very sweet juice and I use 2 ecigs and vape them alternately. You will also get bitter (not sour) taste if you singe a cartomizer. I don't remember what gunked-up atomizer tastes like - I rarely use atomizers.

I get sour aftertaste from some berry juices, citrus-containing flavors, etc - things you would expect tart/sour taste from. Some can get medicinal tasting.

If you want sweet tobaccos then you want to try RY4's (caramel vanilla tobacco), 555's (vanilla nut tobaccos), Honey Flu Cured, etc. But not all are sweet. Use this list and thread of RY4 info and descriptions and try one that interests you. And if a company has a sweet RY4 then chances are better that their 555 is also sweet.

That's a drag as I love my tobaccos. It's a shame that there are so many different recipes from different vendors out there under the same name/ DKTab, RY4, etc. I DIY but when I first began I found JUGHEADS.co We've Got the Vapors ! to have the best tobacco juice anywhere. I have now made it my quest to replicate his flavors but no luck do far.

I was getting some heartburn at first and now I get acid reflux fairly regularly, tho I also like to eat food that has acidic ingredients like lemon juice and spaghetti sauce so I know some of it is from my diet too lol - on days when I'm eating stuff like that anyways....

I use extra strength maalox chewables and that works for me. It's not so bad that I have to get a prescription or something.
But yes I do think some of the juices have citric acid or something like that in them...
