iStick 30W or Cool Fire 4? Other recommendations will be remembered.

What's ur opinion on joyetech Cubis Pro? Sorry if I am asking a lot, but you seem to know your stuff :)

I have a second hand bad impression of it just from talking to people who have used it. They say that the flavor is poor and they are (overall) disappointed with the thing.

@Buckvape - Didn't you say in your first post that you're going to be a new vaper? Most on the ECF do not recommend going right to subohm vaping from the get-go.

In answer to your initial subject title - I have the iStick 30W (as well as their 10W and 50W mods, Basics, and Pico 75W) and several of the Innokin Coolfire IV. I like both mods you mentioned, but have bought 3 more of the Coolfire IV mods for my vape "stash". So I guess that sort of tells which of those 2 I would recommend more highly.

Both you asked about are good mods IMO, but Innokin's passthrough capability is usually regarded as 1 of the best, if not the best. I've bought many Innokin products in the last 3 years, and I've never been disappointed with them yet.

I agree. If you are vaping to get off cigs, then what I have seen is that people have been more successful using something that mimics a cig. So typically you want a MTL set up that gives you OK flavor.

Hey!
I haven't vaped yet, so I need a good setup. I'm on a budget... and I'm not gonna use any more than 50$. I will only use it while working on my computer, so charge while vaping is a MUST.
After a bit of research, I have been looking at Eleaf istick 30w, or innokin cool fire 4. These seem reliable + within price range.
If there are any other, please let me know. :)
I will also buy Eleaf gs Air m, but other tips about other tanks would be appreciated :)

Does the istick 50w and uwell crown tank look good? Many people say crown tank is one of the best tanks, and istick 50w is compact... :)

I thought he said he was vaping at work only, and planning to dual use. I'd say that's the worst time to try a sub-ohm tank, as it was hard enough on my smoker's throat to begin with.... That's why I suggested the Nautilus 2 with 0.7 coils, at least that won't blow his head off if he vapes at a reasonable wattage.

Some issues with sub-ohm coils to start. Unless you plan to go outside on breaks, it may not be your best bet. If that's the case, you could try it, but go easy on your nicotine (like 6 m.g. or less), or you *may* be coughing your brains out. Also, if you use higher wattage and you want a passthrough only, you may be charging your vape more than you think, which isn't the greatest for a stick's battery life. So get something with a decent wattage range. Also, if you're using *all day* at work, I'd get a topfill tank, you'll be filling it more than you realize if you vape a decent amount, and bottomfilling's more of a chore. I don't know what the Cleto Sub-ohms are costing these days, but I could vape mine at around 30 watts and get a decent vape that wasn't a killer (I opened the airholes), and I think the coils aren't exactly inexpensive, though they do last a long time (like a month).

I'd still recommend at least a tank that you can customize, as you may THINK you want to DL, only to find that you do better with short puffs, higher nicotine, etc. If you are planning to vape in your office DL sub-ohm, I hope your supervisor knows about it, as depending on your ejuice flavors/clouds, someone's going to notice it at SOME point.

I love the original crown tank. No question - a classic.
Single battery mods do 50w these days, so you can get 3,000mAh (compared to 4,400) without the extra size of the iStick50w.
Besides (sorry to add this), the iStick50w was replaced by Eleaf with the iPower80w. Comparatively, the iPower is better in every respect including reliability and looks. (and power!)

Now, if it's all about budget, maybe.

t.b.h. I presumed the iStick50w had been discontinued. The 'China' price actually lists the iPower80 as cheaper (I know... that's what happens), so factor that into the price from a vendor.

So you are saying crown tank is good, but another mod? (Ipower 80w)

Yes. The crown tank (no.1) is great if you can buy the atomizer coils OK.
The mod you are suggesting (iStick50w) has been replaced by the iPower80w.
If you have a choice (and the money is right) get the iPower80.

I'd go with that Uwell Crown and get a couple of every coil they make for it, but grab at least 5 of the ones that look like the range where you want to start vaping. There are so many mods that you could use for that tank, plenty of good recommendations in this thread already.

@anna , you mention the Cleito tank -- I've been strictly a MTL-er for almost 2 years and recently had the opportunity to try the Cleito...I quite liked it! (First DL hit ever!). Would you recommend the Cleito for a first time DL tank? And, .04 coils? I currently use a Nautilus X (mostly)but finding the coils (1.8) have a short life span.
Thanks!

I think it's a great tank and easy to use, and that think won't leak if you shove it in your mountain climbing boot and scale everest. I can't speak to coils, at that point in my vaping I just took whatever my son handed over and attempted to use it, LOL. I think 0.4 is a reasonable starting point for sub-ohming if you are into that. I'd start slow with the wattage, I ended up vaping it about 30-40 watts, and that worked out well for me (sort of, I'm more of a MTL gal and stopped using it completely once I got my Nautilus 2). It's super easy operation, it will drink juice and eat battery power however, so I'd advise having spare batteries to carry around and spare juice, and make sure your nic isn't too high. I do think it's a great vape, and I used it fairly regularly until some other gear arrived. It has lots of pluses, esp if you like DL. I know some ppl were talking about the CLeto 120 being great, but I haven't tried it....
