istick 50w/battery and vaper production

so!
I started vaping in the am on a full battery at 17.5w with pure vg (i'm allergic to pg) and i was very satisfied with the clouds/vapor production i was making. i'm hitting it like suggested to avoid a really hot drip tip with a good fast, hard lung hit. (in fact it made more vapor than a slow lung hit...this is not the issue tho)
about 2 hours ago my hits were getting weak. Vapor production was not like this morning. i'm using the same juice and brand. (shud be the same: right?)

the only thing i can think of is my battery is now at about 60%.
My expectation was that regardless of battery power it should be regulated and get the same results of vapor regardless of the remaining battery life?
Note: -i'm using a brand new coil put in this morning. (.5 ohm)
-tank i'm using is kanger subtank mini and my airflow are open wide...

Your coil cannot handle pure VG maybe? The Istick should work fine with the situation you are describing. The subtanks are notorious for not handling pure VG. You might try upping the wattage a bit if you do not get dry hits.

yep anything higher than 17.5w i'm getting a dry hit.
i actually emailed pbusardo before purchasing the subtank explaining my allergy to pg and asking him what tank would handle vg well, and he said pretty much every sub tank now and days are better designed to handle pure vg. He said that the subtank is one of those tanks.

i switch just for the heck to a 50/50 juice. Same results. Lack of vapor and dry hits over 18w.

this is crazy...and very aggravating.
.5 coil should handle 30w.

Also inconsistant coils from china is not out of the realm nere, wouldnt be the first time
