That is the truth -- I've seen cars pull out right in front of big ol trucks on a downhill grade... Where's karma when it's really needed?!

I try to give those big boys as wide a berth as I possibly can -- they scare the bejeebers out of me, and yeah, they have a very hard job -- my husband used to do in-town truck driving; not a semi, but the biggest one below that, what he called a 'straight truck.' He often told me of the stupidity he saw from cars who have no clue how destructive even those kinds of trucks can be.

Plus the fact that if the worst happens with those big trucks, they leave a big mess everywhere, like in that pic or even worse, if they happen to be carrying liquids. Recently there was a big truck wreckcident here in ATL, and one of those semis was jack-knifed right across all the lanes of 75 or 85, I forget which it was -- that traffic jam was ungodly, miles and miles and miles, while they tried to get that big honkin truck off the road.

I agree, they do have tough jobs....that's why I don't understand why you made the comment that they must now be hiring chimps to drive their trucks.

Bah... they're still at it. I've got four packages inbound all ETA tomorrow. Tracking has not been updated since leaving origin facilities on the 13th and 15th. Let's hope they arrive as scheduled, cuz I want my juice!

I think the observation that they seem to be trying to ship correctly but not bothering to scan anything is correct. Unfortunately this causes heart attacks for us package stalkers. ...And prevents us from seeing when they're sending things backwards.

As a 10yr OTR driver, trainer, instructor who hauled FedEx dedicated I almost chimed in, but it was a joke. Besides, chimp wouldn't have rolled the truck that bad.

Yes, it was a joke. :) And you're probably right; it would take a human to do something like that! :D But, let's all keep in mind that there's only about 1% difference in our dna and that of chimps. :D

Well that pkg that I said I would be lucky to get by Friday... on the tracking pg it actually SAID Friday... but it arrived today, so there must be something to my observation that they routed it correctly, towards Atlanta on the I-85 corridor, instead of away (Raleigh)!

I placed another order Monday, from AquaVaporCigs, and it's now IN Raleigh, so I can hope that it might be here tomorrow. I ordered some stuff last night too, but I think I'll be very lucky if one of them gets here this week -- WholeCig -- while my cartos from IBTanked just might be; I've always seen VERY fast shipping from them.

Second that. Stuff seems to arrive now without several of the usual USPS steps showing. I had three this week which never showed "out for delivery" or the movement between local post offices. Maybe they are cutting out some of the scanning to get stuff moving faster. There are local problems too. I had one that took 4 days to escape from San Francisco, another one was shipped and left Tampa the same day.

Well, according to the tracking, I've got four supposedly arriving tomorrow, but - two are somewhere between here and Cali, one is between here and Ohio and one is the blackhole of Texas. If they aren't processed through the D.C. sorting hub by tonight, I ain't getting them tomorrow.

Of course I had two a week or so ago coming from the same part of Cali, one got processed through Gaithersburg and one got processed through D.C.. The sorting centers are like half an hour apart. The one processed through Gaithersburg took four days longer to get here. Go figure.

As long as it ends up in my mail box, it's ok. (Well, ok if it's on time.) But I'd rather have tracking to ease my nerves. :(

I can feel your pain because this is happening to me this week also. Will this have any bearing on our donation to the annual USPS Stamp Out Hunger food drive come May?

:censored: No money to USPS from me. Mail lady just came. :mail: ...but only one. Apparently the black hole of Texas spit it out. The other three are still missing however and have USPS etas of today... hmm...

I completely agree! With what they charge nowadays for postage, I think they could reach into THEIR OWN pockets to feed the hungry! I remember when a stamp cost a nickel, and everyone was freaking out when it went to 6 cents! Now it's almost a half-dollar just to mail a letter, and it takes twice if not 3 times longer to get there!

Bah humbug on the USPS!
