It isn't shingles...

..but is/was a serious allergic reaction to who knows what. Went in yesterday to the ER because the itch and burn were getting unbearable.

Anyway they shot my azz full of some sort of steroid and this morning the rash has all but gone, but I still have a low grade fever and headache and chills. Feel like doo doo still, so I called out sick for work. Boss was none too happy, but what is a person to do?

glad to hear things r better, i assume they did an allergy test to try to figure out what it is u'r allergic to?

No testing done yet...I was at the ER, and the scratch testing is done over in dermatology.

I'm without insurance, so testing is going to have to wait a while anyway. I was just soooo miserable last night, that I had to get some relief before I itched and rubbed myself bloody.

i wouldn't know because i don't even trust dr's and think they're merely glorified drug pushers but u'd figure they'd sort the problem then and there at least any GOOD dr would.
