I am considering buying another battery for my daily vaping. I have an Innokin MVP 2.0 and use bottom coil Hypertanks and a bottom coil glass aero tank. I just ordered a Kayfun (my first rebuildable). As of right now I have no intention of going sub ohm yet.
I love the MVP because it holds a charge for about 1 - 1 1/2 days for me. The pass-thru feature is great but It always seems to die out when I'm nowhere near a plug.
I have considered getting another so I can always have one charging. That brings me to my question. Are there any other units out there are like the MVP? I do not want anything that has individual batteries (yes I know how great they are). The low maintenance device is what I want, but I dont know if I have any other choices available.

Well, ill go ahead and say I'm not aware of any more batteries like the MVP worth it. It's kinda a unique thing.

However, when I wanted more than my MVP I moved to the SVD and never looked back, charging up another battery or two and keepin a small plastic box of batteries isn't that bad, because the SVD is telescopic I can have a 18650 and then wham pop in a 350 and its smaller, that's just my little two cents tho, its not that bad.

What do you mean by "like the MVP"? Form factor? Interface? Battery life? Passthrough? Variable volt/watt? The only thing you made clear is no replaceable batteries.

The most important features are battery life, and pass thru VV and/or VW is preferred. The form factor is not an issue. As far as the interface I assume it would be different on a different device so its not important.

What options are available even at the higher cost?
Well, there's the Protovapor XPV. It has a bigger battery (2900 mAh vs 2600), in a lighter package, a better (IMO) form-factor, on-board micro-USB pass-through charging, and a DNA 20 controller (soon to be a DNA 30). Unlike the MVP, the battery is replaceable when it dies. They are built to order by a guy in Hawaii, but so far, he's been shipping in under one week. You'll find the pics I took of mine the day I received it here.

mvp is such a great choice !!!
I agree, for the price it almost impossible to beat in terms of features and capabilities. The question for the OP though is whether 11 watts will be enough for his Kayfun. I'm reasonably confident a Kayfun can be built to run OK on an MVP, but it isn't going to knock his socks off either. ;)

Thank You Rossum, That Protovapor XPV is the kind of thing I am looking for. As I said I am exploring options and I didnt even know that was one. I looked at the Groove and Groove2 but they seem cheaply constructed to me. I am not hard on my MVP but I do have it with me all day so it does get bumped around in my pocket like a cell phone. .............. Anyone else with any other options?

No individual batteries.

MVP2 is best option if you do not like the Groove2 and do not want to spend a lot of money.

I'm gonna have to wait a bit on the Groove 2. The Groove 1 scared the bejeebees out of me. Oops..design flaw....bursts into flames.

Yes Smok redesigned it, I'm glad, but I'm gonna have to see some results.

Of course if the MVP or MVP2 had similar issues, I'd be holding out on them as well.

If my MVP2 died/lost/stolen then I would more than likely buy another. The one I currently have I originally purchased last year for 70USD; but despite knowing you can get one now for $40, I still think it was money well spent.

However, if I had to pick something else, then it would definitely be the Hana Modz mini:

$250....Whoooooo!!!! That's strong!!! Looks like fort knox though.....

Two things.
1. 1200 mAh....Half the life of an MVP
2. LiPo battery.....Disposable, not user replaceable...Same as MVP. $45 for a disposable....ok... $250.....hard to swallow.

Now if it's an LiPo pack that can be replaced like a Cell Phone battery....ok...but if not....ouch!!!

They have the regular version that I believe takes an 18650 battery. Yeah, its a steep price, but it is what it is. I may be wrong, but I don't think you can get a DNA based mod that's built like this for less than 200USD. Maybe the Opus-D but I don't really like the 510 connection on that one.

Not to hijack the OP's thread, but if I am wrong could someone please point me in the right direction? ;)
