Love the charm - do you remember what size o-ring you got for that?

No, I don't, MsComptrtchr! My husband has a big o-ring kit that he had bought many years ago on Amazon. It even has really small ones in it and he was able to fix a drip tip of mine a while back!

Mine too!!! Lol

That is a pretty one, Kristin! My hubby got a Jwrap for his Vamo V2 and loves it. He got flames on his. Now he wants one for his eVic and I'm contemplating on getting one for mine. He used a heat gun after applying ours. It's just a tiny one I used for embossing cards when I used to rubber stamp. I still was paranoid about him applying heat to the battery! Nothing exploded though!

Hmm, well, I don't need all of those, lol. I'll just go to ACE and see what fits. I like using the little charms on the AiV bottles on my Evics. I hadn't thought of using on on the MVP though.

This is what his kit sort of looks like, MsComptrtchr:

I need a charm for my eVic. Thinking of a dragonfly, this time. :)

I've noticed that sometimes when I get into chain vape mode, with r-e-a-l-l-y long draws, I'll hit the time-out, and it shuts down. Maybe?

It might also be an issue with your topper. The MVP does have short protection, so if there's something awry with that, it's going to shut down. (Presumably until the short is removed, but how does it know until you turn it back on and try again? Maybe it checks for short when powered up... don't know about that, but it could be.) Check your coil resistance if you can, change to a different topper and see if that clears it up.

It doesn't have a battery meter, so no recalibration. devices that monitor battery state - i.e. laptops - do need a full discharge now and then to calibrate that, but the MVP doesn't.

This is interesting, mine seems to be doing something similar. I'm still getting used to the device as its only just turned up for me in my vape mail, but its like the button just doesn't work sometimes. I feel like 'am I pressing this down enough?' As I'll go to take a drag and get nothing, press again and usually I'll get it to fire up. I dunno if its the MVP or the kanger tank I've got on there but its done it now too many times for it to simply be me not using it right. When its in this odd 'off mode' I don't even need to click it 5 times, it simply turns back on on a third or fourth click and vapes away no problem, I don't wanna use the word misfire here because I think that's prob not the right terminology but, it's like I press it, and it needs to somehow warm up before making a connection? It's hard to describe.

But when this thing does hit? My goodness its a lovely vape. Got some Hangsen RY4 in the kanger, set at 4.8 volts, it chucks out the vapour something fierce and its such a smooth draw on the kanger.

Sounds like the automatic shutoff is kicking in - how long are your draws? The standard for turning it back on is 3 clicks, not 5 like with egos.

Either that, or technique. When I first got mine (January), I'd occasionally hit the edge of the button rather than dead center, and it would sometimes mis-fire or I'd get contact bounce in the switch and the MVP would see that as three clicks - and turn off.

Perhaps OP, with it in pass-thru mode, you're holding it differently, and making a more accurate button push?

Hi guys, yeah, I think it is the 3 click auto shut off kicking in. I do take long drags on it though, it's the kanger I think, I'm used to a fairly low 306 LR which is right up on my mouth via the reo and so I tend to take long old drags on the kanger to compensate for the cooler vapour and the longer travel time for the vapour.

Now I'm conscious of the 3 click feature I'm gonna have to train myself to take more time between drags, I think I'm taking long drag after long drag too quickly and it's forcing the auto shut off.

I'd imagine it's a timing circuit on a chip, and not a wire to be cut...

There might be a trim potentiometer, or it could be done with an R/C circuit (Resistor / Capacitor), but things like that could also be associated with voltage adjustment.

Without a schematic, you have a good chance of keeping it a paperweight.

For long draws on anything with a timeout, I just draw for a while, release and immediately re-press the button, with a quick twitch of the finger...

Thank you. I do that with my twists and have gotten used to it, but it's just not a satisfying long warm draw like on my homemade box mod. I'll see if hubby wants it for a back up (he LOVES his) or put it in the classies.

I wanted it for the long battery life (and, well, it's gorgeous, it's the blue one.) But this is just too annoying to deal with.
Thank you so much for posting for me. I appreciate it.
