It'll go for a good while on yellow, too. Given how big the battery is, mine never gets to the red. If mine goes yellow at work, I'm still able to use it through the evening and charge it at bedtime.

Only tip (but this shouldn't be as much of an issue now) is to make sure you don't get the very first version that lacked eGo threading. It's a minor change, but it takes away from the experience.

The MVP has been my @home battery since I bought it. I wish it had a built-in ohm meter, but other than that it's wonderful.

Joining all the other happy MVP users, great batter life, solid construction and the iclear16's that came with the bundle just made the deal a lot better :p (i got it from FastTech)

I like the way it feels in my hand, i have small hands and it feels perfect(no jokes allowed :p). I use it all the time outside and at work.

I got the slate blue on a whim (everything I do is normally silver or black.

Which colour did you get?

Question - is there a trick to getting a protank to work on the MVP? I've successfully been using EVODs to this point. When I tried to use the protank it didn't work. It works on my Evics, but not the MVP (with or without the beauty ring.)

I'm just not a blue chick - I like red and black. I ordered the blue for something "different" and well, didn't like it. It's muted - looks just like the picture. But no worries for me, that's what a JWrap is for. I'm more concerned about the protank not working on it. I do wish it had an ohm meter. I like the draw on this, but my eVics are definitely more "informative".

I know it's personal preference but why didn't you like the blue, I want one but some pictures of it put me off.

just a thought but, did you try the evod coil in the protank and see if it worked that way? Could be a bad protank coil, i have got a couple of bad ones a week or two back. :2c:

I always use an evod coil in my protanks :) I hate the regular protank heads.

The thing is that it worked on the evics this morning, but when I switch it to the MVP, it doesn't work. The MVP lights up, but doesn't fire the coil. So, the coil is working and good (on the Evic) but there must be something relating to connecting to the MVP.

Mine didn't either. Use a tiny screwdriver and gently pry out the center contact on the Protank a very small amount. It WILL work. The collar on the protank bottoms out on the top of the MVP before good contact can be made. This also allows you to center the contact in the protank to reduce the possbility of a short.

BTW, I also like silver or black batteries for everything, but got the blue MVP and like it (even if someone thinks it looks girly)

;)

You can also try to (very gently) pull the center pin up a hair on the MVP. If all else fails, you can make a frankenconnection, which solved both the connection problems and airy draw for me:

You'll need a type D ego sleeve and a 510-eGo adapter... it goes together like this:

Overall, I love my MVP. A few minor complaints:

The connector is a little too tall which causes the protank base to hit before the 510 connection gets made.

Why isn't the green light above the fire button so you can see it without your finger/thumb being in the way? (Interestingly, I though I would hate the fire button being where it is instead of on the narrow side, but I like it where it is.)

Why in the world is the USB on/off switch not recessed so it sits on that end in a more stable manner?

Others?

I have no problems with the Protanks on my MVP. I use the Protank Beauty Ring, and the Protank fits snugly on without issue with the Protank coils.

I have found it won't fire if it's on too tightly, same as with the iclear30, like it's kicking in the short detection of the unit. If it's fitted snugly with the Protank beauty ring, no problems. I use the MVP ring for the iclear30s.

Really excited to get mine. Been looking at reviews like crazy. One function I can't imagine ever using is the capability to charge electronics from the MVP. Firstly, this means you have to carry a charging cable with you everywhere you go. Not to mention, if I were ever in a situation where I had to choose between my cell phone dying or ecig dying I'd let the phone die. Fruit ninja can wait. Heck I'd charge my ecig from my cell if I could. To me, they could have left that feature out and made it (the device) a little shorter.

Don't really care about no ohm meter. For over a year I've been using a box that has no display at all. I just crank the adjustment knob according to taste. I have a $12 multimeter for checking attys.

I see that everyone seems to prefer tanks for the MVP. While I love the idea of not lugging around a juice bottle, I'm a dripper at heart. Anyone drip with the MVP? I would like to be able to pocket my PV and the addition of a tank just makes it seem a little..... huge.
