Itaste SVD power output question

Hey all,

I'm using the SVD with a kayfun lite @ 1ohm. In vw mode the svd is limited to 15w but in vv mode can the svd output more than 15w by adjusting the voltage or am I limited to the 15w? Thanks for any help.

The SVD has a 5 amp limit, regardless of mode. So with your 1Ω coil, once you get past about 5 volts it should clamp and not go higher, no matter what you dial in. That's about 25 watts, so I'd expect it to clamp at about 3.9 volts if it reacts on watt values, That would be about 3.9 amps, within it's range.

I'm actually surprised it doesn't reject that coil as too low, but low resistance safety shut-off calibrations aren't real precise

The lowest coil I've been able to use was .8 ohm. Thanks for the info.
