well i bought an itaste vtr 2 weeks ago, took pretty good care of it, never overtightened anything (pretty hard with that rotating base) and i never dropped it. but this last weekend i woke up put a battery in and tried to take a puff, but the light would just stay on. after a little investigation this is the device telling me its shorting out somewhere, i have no idea what could have happened. so i did some troubleshooting. cleaned the post and everything else with a paper towel, q tips and some iso-propyl alcohol, nothing. tried a couple different tanks and still nothing. i did find out it works as advertised with nothing connected. but what good does that do me. even with the extension connected it says its shorted out. has anyone else had an issue like this or any suggestions? anything i may have missed.

It sounds as though the insulator around your center pin may be damaged. Try prying it out with a paper clip and replacing the insulator
