I have a couple 3.0's and some spinners. I use them when I want something light in the pocket instead of a heavy mod. Performance wise are basically identical because they are just batteries. I like the resistance and vw features on the 3.0 alot but they aren't a must have. It's just as easy to dial the voltage to get the same vape using fixed watts.

I will say that I dropped one of my 3.0's and it screwed up the electronics. Gibberish on the screen and won't fire. Can't be fixed. I don't think they are fragile but definitely not as durable as a spinner IMO because of this.

The 800mah in the 3.0 is no big deal at all. Who doesn't have a mini usb cord within arms reach almost everywhere? They last 4-8 hours (or more) depending on how much you vape. I've never had an issue with the lower mah's. It's nice that the 3.0 tells you when the battery is getting low by changing the color of the fire button. My spinners surprise me often with the flashing light of death.

I think the extra $10 is worth the extra features like vw, resistance, usb charger, and battery indicator. Owning both is a really good answer as well. Odds are high you'll end up with a mod where you can just switch out batteries.

Yeah I have seen the box mods, I am not interested in carrying something like that. I want something somewhat portable that can be slipped into a pocket. I may have to go into Kansas City and see if one of the stores there has them so I can look at them. Considering the responses I have seen so far it's really a toss up with maybe just a little lean towards the spinner. In which case I would go with the spinner as it is cheaper and does have a better battery.

Savoir-Faire is everywhere!
Dammit, now y'all have me thinking about a Vamo. I had just about decided that it was going to be one or the other of those two.

What your decision will ultimately depend upon is if you're sure enough at this point as to whether you'll be using a PV for long enough to invest the money in right now or not. If you're still in the "testing it out" phase, then go with the cheaper options for now and take more time to research the higher performance devices.

Wonderful to hear your decision, S_D!

And thanks, it's a milestone I think we can all make. Just a question of finding the right setup for hardware, toppers, and juices. (Although IMO the "ADV" is pie in the sky - I like changing up flavors too much to vape just one!) Just have to remember to have backups for everything - batteries, chargers, toppers and coils. A real bummer to wait for your only battery to charge, break a tank, or have a charger go on the fritz. Too easy to run out for a pack of smokes if something in the vaping arsenal fails.

My Spinners are all Vision brand, two were purchased last January, and still going strong. Haven't tried any of the FT imitations, so can't say anything about them. Short of the occasional manufacturing lemon, the Vision Spinners get top marks in my book for low cost VV.

Every little light, LED screen, and bell/whistle, eats up battery. I'd rather have a plain battery that yields a longer useable time before recharge, than have a pretty battery with an Xbox built into it. ;)

I get about 12 hours of heavy vaping from the Spinner 1300. That's all that matters to me. :)

I wouldn't mind a couple of twinkling lights with the option of turning them off when I didn't want them on. :hubba:

G_Stone has, imo, the right attitude. If it works for you, it's "right" for you!

Although in comparison to the current draw of a coil, LCD displays are darn near zero, not all regulating electronics are equally efficient, and some can draw down the battery faster than others.

Not sure what's inside the Spinners, and I only use mine for a day's vape before charging. So I've forgotten how far into a second day I'll get - but I always start the day with a freshly charged one.

I started with eGo batts, then bought a Spinner 1300 because I wanted the variable volts to get a better hit. Then bought a VV V3 because it has VW as well as VV. Now I also have an MVP. I use all of them in rotation and all work fine. In my opinion, Innokin makes a really good product... not had any problems from them. I like the VV kit as it comes with 5 iClear 16 clearo's... in my humble opinion one of the better dual coil tanks. I plan on getting some sort of replaceable battery mod in the near future because I like the idea of only replacing batteries instead of the whole deal. I would say if you plan on vaping for a while, get one of these (replaceable battery mod)... money ahead in the long run!

This is comparing apples to oranges. Nothing wrong with a Spinner as I have 2 great Joye C-Twists, but the VV 3 is superior to vape with.

I won't claim that such things don't use more battery, but a microcontroller and LED backlit screen should consume less than 33 mW (~ 3.3V x 10 mA) while active (the VAST majority of that is the LED. If you vape at, say, 2 ohms and 4 volts = 8 Watts, that 0.4% increase in power draw is inconsequential - maybe a 1 puff difference on a battery charge.

I wouldn't buy a Spinner right now. First one I bought wouldn't even work, second one I bought seems to fry everything I put on it. MOV recommends the fancy box iTaste as their choice of device, and if they recommend that, then the smaller ones should work just as well. I just about went with an iTaste and I wish I did. Probably will now. The Spinner just has a knob that could potentially turn faulty. The iTastes have the whole LCD set-up where if something's not right, it'll probably know it.
