Hey exhaler,
What were the ohms reading, from stock ?
1.6 Ohms. Don't see any reason to mess with it right now. This thing is great, just make sure things are where they are supposed to be after taking apart and cleaned plus tightened down well.

So overall, worth 35$ or dont waste the time and just buy a VVV sidewinder?
I would say it's worth the $35 considering the price of the original. That Transformer from Got Vapes was almost that much and that T+ Genny with restricted flow cap combined was almost $60. Like the Transformer, it takes just a little getting use to. Juice flow and air flow pretty easy to figure out. Transformer takes 1/2-3/4 turn for good juice flow the Ithaka only 1/4-1/3 turn. Just make sure the things that need to be tight, are, same with the Transformer. Some will complain it leaks, that probably means something is not put together correctly.
Good luck when you all get yours. Mine took about 8 days, pretty good for Fast Tech and USPS San Fran.
I just got the FT Ody clone yesterday and I dare say it works better than the original. I at least didn't get any leaks on the first build which I can't say for the original Ody. The threads on the plastic tank are a little iffy, but workable. Does anyone know if there's a steel tank available?
Anyway, I just ordered up the Ithaka clone and expect good things.![]()
Perhaps you can get a glass one from one of the tank suppliers. Been thinking about doing that with the Ithaka, but it's kinda' an off
the wall size.
You're gonna have some trouble getting hold of a threaded glass tank.
Got mine in last night. Fiddled with the brass conection just to get it to fire for about an hour cause i had no idea what i was doing lol. The stock coil in there is fine. First only one of them was firing and i didnt have a dental pick with me so i had to use a knife tip to kind of adjust the coils. Looks like the coils are heating up great. I put the wrong juice in there though, Big Red from 'Mt Baker Vapors'. Good flavor but diiiiirty throat hit no matter how i changed the airflow. I felt like i just started vaping again lol. I would like to build a single coil set up on it pretty soon but need to find some non-res wire and some wick from a b&m in the Plano, TX area. Does anyone think Ace Hardware would have any? I called Lowe's the other day and the guy sounded like he thought I was crazy when I asked him for stuff lol

It's also way heavy. Put it on my eVic, Silver Bullet, and iTaste MVP and it was top heavy on all of them. Great build quality so far. Took it apart but didn't think about cleaning it though as it was 2am when i started messing with it.

You can find .999 silver wire at some hobby stores as jewelry beading wire, etc...
I couldn't find any in my area so I just ordered some online.
Stormy's Vapor Cellar has no-res already attached to resistance wire. I think it is like 8.99 for 50.
Yes it is a heavy brute. Have mine on a mod with only a 18350 batt so it's not too awkwardly top heavy. I found a lot of machine grease in my drip tip and it needed a hot water and soap bath. Perhaps others are not like that, but sure mine was.
I've ordered this and other wire from this dealer. He's pretty quick, prices are good and has $1.95 shipping.

Thank you. Should I just buy from Stormy's Vapor Cellar? Because I don't have a wire joiner and the channels in this Ithaka don't look very thick to hold the bulk of two wires twisted together or whatever. Have you done it manually on this clone yet?
