Im on the edge of my seat waiting to see what treats we have in store for our Ithakas

From yesterday I tried few single coils setups with premade ribbons.
I read posts here time after time that 2mm silica wick work better for some.
So for once I wanted to verify this 100% so I found time and run few builts
So for those that do use silica and single coil here what turn out
On the same juices with diffrent vg pg ratio:
1 Ithaka 3mm silica dual wick (both juices)
1 Ithaka 2.5mm silica dual wick (both juices)
2 Ithaka 2mm silica dual wick (both juices)
( took all day yesterday and this day morning).
I don't know how some of you guys find time for all this unique builts,
But any way:
The juices:
Vg base El kamino
and 70%pg 30%vg Zombie brain
On all juices wicking and vapors was noticeable better and faster on the 2mm wicks.
With the 2mm juice control was enough when open only 1mm or less.
On the 3mm vg the juice control was needed to open 2mm and it took time
after each draw to loaded juice back.
I'm sure that in very cold places it will act diffrent but that what I got here.
It look as even small deformation or pressure on silica cut it's wick capability by noticbl measure.
On the 2mm it did not effect as they fall to channel without too much pressure on them.
Taste was little bit fuller on 3mm but the heavy wicking is not worth it IMHO.
Vapor turn finer and produce faster on the 2mm.
This may be old news and after new Ithaka upgrade not relevant any more
but for now I thought it's good to share
this with you.

Well same here but I burn those on the multi setups we need.
Guess if I was running one atty or two then I could keep up,
but we got use to go 3/4 different juices me and my other half (and she don't built coils)
So It is always me need to support all this juice bar picnicking fiesta.

I was on vasilis's store all day today so I didnt come to see if you all were asleep!! lol
We discussed some very interesting things and we have great plans for the future. Until the end of November I will have Penelope ready, new rebuildable part for Ithaka and brass parts for justGG (old brass). Then I will start making the new justGG-GGTS button. After that I will make something really interesting.

Looks like I'm going to have to hit cov up for some 2mm wick to try out for myself
thanks for doing the experiment and letting us know what you had found. Btw which wires were you using? Flat or round, and what resistance?

You can make 2mm from your 3mm just take two groups (one at a time ) of fibers from the wick
By catch it and turning the wick.
Also Imeo demonstrate it in YouTube when he show as how to make coils for Ithaka.
It's no time to make.
For the wires I use now only pre made flat ribbons 1.5 ohm
That Imeo send to Greek seller to sell.
the flat 1.5 ohm become red hot fast like 1.2 ohm rounded,but not so hot
And have more surface in contact with the liquid.
It vape better.
I prepare the wire turns very close so it will glow from inside out like a micro coil.
They don't have realy to touch in all places it's enough that they touch some part of the other
That they will glow from inside out.
If you do this they will glow faster a bit then when completely separate.

Mmm... That looks good! No photos of true Greek gyros though please. I would have to miss out on Ithaka updates because i would have to blow the vape budget to buy plane tickets.
