So I haven't had much success with the new rebuildable part. I'm using 1.5mm regular silica wick, tried a regular build (sorta works), micro build, and dual micro build (reeeeeeeally tight fit) can't get them to wick fast enough, or it floods like hell.

What's worked for you guys? I love the airflow it tastes great. Wish I could build it right though.

I've been using cotton for Wicking, gets dry hits every once in a while, if I chain vape, but I'm also now getting flooding issues too. At first it was working really well, but as time went on...

When I build my CMC in the new Ithaka rebuildable, I have no cotton in the channels; I trim it off flush with the housing. Also, when I first started using the new rebuildable section, I screwed the mouthpiece all the way on (it actually goes between the housing and the base at the bottom), and then I counted the number of turns necessary until I could see the channels above the rim of the base ... it came out to three complete 360° revolutions. Then I screwed the mouthpiece back down, put on the tank, filled with e-liquid, and put on the cap. Then I opened the mouthpiece three complete 360° turns. I have not had any flooding or dry hits at all. I'm vaping 100% VG. I love the new Ithaka rebuildable! Eagerly awaiting the similar rebuildable section for the Penelope!

Wondering if anyone has used menthol juices in the ithaka with the plastic window, or an ody with a plastic tank, and if the menthol can crack the plastic?

Finally decided to buy a menthol flavor for my DIYing and it is really good. Using it in an ody with the steel tank at the moment.

I mixed some menthol a year or so ago using 2% menthol and I believe it caused some cracking using Kir's tanks on Oddy. I never had trouble below the 2% mix. And it might not have been the the 2% but I believe so.:2c:

Use to add "angle tears" (menthol of rawr vapor) up to 4% on some juices without problem
On Ithaka clear tank.
But I don't do both anymore as my only menthol juice today is "zombie brain" of GLV
Already blended duble dose and the same for the clear tanks, change to SS all
My Ithaka tank windows.

thanks for posting this GTBB

i spoke too soon. i hate giving advice here because even after 2 years of vaping i feel like a newbie.

i have never had any luck at all with kir fanis tanks. with any juice but specifically with menthol crystals. my cousin and i went through 6 tanks on the oddy in 1 month. they just fell apart. i dont know if it was the menthol juice or not but i had no luck at all.

what i should have said in my 1st post was that i have never had any problems with the original or newer thicker GG ithaka clear windows.

to say it more clearly the MADE BY GG/Imeo clear windows are no problem with menthol.

i really wanted the kir fanis clear tanks to work for me but they didn't. sorry for any bad advice in the 1st post.

I also use cotton on Pene V2 and on Ithaka old rebuildable just stuff it sparely and slowly
While holding the coil in place from the other side,it can be made just take patient and more time.
It help if you roll the cotton thin, just for enter it no worries it will expanded back when
It will have juice in it.

Any tips on using cotton in this or GG-atties in general? Don't be having a much success with 1.5 ready wires, don't stay in place long enough to get cotton through.

I wrap my coil around a drill bit then flame it (not sure if this really helps) then I put the coil in with the drill bit in. Once all my wires are attached ect I gently remove the drill bit and very gently put in the cotton. Or you can make a micro coil with nr wire attached. Either method works ok.
