With your juice control closed, how does your juice feed until you are part-way through the tank.
What am I missing/not understanding?

I know not. All I know is, when I first fill to capacity, if I don't close the juice control completely, I flood the Ithaka. I assume mine is feeding through the bottom vents, the ones in the piece that screws on to the coil/ceramic that holds the wicks in place. This should not happen if you tighten this piece, but if it is working flawlessly, I'm not one to question.

I bought a kayfun the week before I got an ithaka. Kayfun is at home on the counter if that says anything. Lol. It's a fine device but I definitely prefer the ithaka.

Sent from Galaxy Note 2 via Tapatalk 2.

Ithaka was my 1st Imeo atty that i bought. Now i have 2 ithakas and now also i am looking for penelope, iatty and oddy. I feel incomplete without them.

Weird, I felt the same way when I got my first Ithaka, I has to have another. I also felt like I needed more so, I bought every GG atty and use them all.

it reminds me when people were comparing GGTS to other mods when the most of them had and still have a tube and 2 caps Idaho.
Kat!
Great post.
I am currently using the dual highlander method and Bishop does a good video on it.

You couldn't be more correct about the vape experience. Some don't get that the Ithaka is on its own plateau. It is genius on many levels. A peeve of mine is when members compare it to a Kaydiddlyfunforaweek. Most don't even own an Ithaka.
The set ups are many, vape is incredible and it is affordable.

With all this great and interesting talk about double coils, quad coils, micro coils, twisted coils, twisted double coils... my [insert godly figure of your choice here], where do I stop?...

This amount of flexibility is awesome but am I the only one that gets a simply awesome vape from a normal, tightly spaced single coil (like in Imeo's original Video)? I have had to go down to 6mg just to keep from poisoning myself :)

Perhaps I am being pedantic in even mentioning this, but I have found a millimeter can sometimes mean the difference between "Olympic nectar in vapor form" and "Satan just farted in my mouth". The coil moved about 1mm down into the ceramic, just to reduce the distance from the nut to the coil.
"pedantic", had to look that one up... these are word's my wife uses . Now my turn being pedantic. What wire thickness did you use for the Silver NR (0.15mm, 0.20mm, 0.25mm). I want to duplicate this build and therefore would like precise details. Does it matter what size the NR wire is?

30g silver, which I believe is 0.25mm.

not at all mad. But GG people always try to find new ways to improve their vape. That doesnt mean that these tries are all of them successful. My experiments are not all of them successful too

dont get me wrong... all this experimenting is great... I just think it needed to be stated how great the Ithaka is using your standard method :toast:

Do you guys get leaking out of your center posts's o-ring if you screw the rebuildable part into the base too hard? I think I may be screwing it in too hard.. I know I posted about this before but it's become more apparent on that one Ithaka (my new one is fine, but I didn't screw it in quite as hard) - maybe I'll try a new o-ring on it.

I'm not really sure about what was happening here but I was having not leaking, *floodings*, the instant I filled with juice

changed the bottom o-ring (actually found it to be somehow "flattened") but also found the center post to be a little loose and tightened it
no more leakings at all :)

Nice - I will inspect my O-ring before next build and swap it out, perhaps my center post is a little crooked as well - I find it difficult to get it PERFECTLY straight a lot of the time - but with a little finagling I can usually get it pretty good - not any different than my non-leaking Ithaka, though, so hopefully it's just the O-ring.
Thanks!

Depends on the juices, I suspect. I vape mostly thick, 100% VG which wreaks havoc on coils. The simple setup quickly loses effectiveness after only a single tank. The dual-wire, single coil seems to remain gunk-free longer, and hits harder at my preferred resistance than a dual coil. I am well through my second tank, and it is still going strong. With the simplest, single coil/wire setup, it would lose vapor and flavor by the first refill.

Yes, I found that if you tighten it to hard it will deform the o-ring and you will get leaks. I tighten mine only about a 1/4 to 1/2 a turn after it makes contact. I also make sure the basic feeding part is screwed in to the point that it's o-ring is also making contact.

Yeah I was concerned about that o-ring on the basic feeding part, but was told that o-ring actually didn't matter, and doesn't need to be used apparently. I still keep mine on, though!

you really shouldn't care about that o-ring nor about the basic feeding ring itself: as you know you can keep the basic feeding ring not screwed all the way down, in order to have a cooler vape ;)

Yup, I do realize that.. I like hotter vapes (well at least not cool!) and harder throat hits!
I think my issue was definitely just screwing down too tight.. I think after time I warped my o-ring because it never leaked before recently!
