pho, sorry if you already mention that big holes are for direct lung hitters. I agree with you of course that people that vape like this need bigger holes.

My designs are for mouth hitters of course because I never was a lung hitter. Also all China atomizers were made and still are made for mouth hitters. I only learned about lung hitters on ecf before some months when Bishop first mention it

Well like I said, it's one of those things that you truley have to try it, before you deny it. To refuse to try and do something as simple as increasing the airflow is pretty hard-headed imo. But hey - if your preferred vape is in the 1.0ohm to 2.0ohm range - then you're right, there's no need for you to ever try it. It's for when you go below 1.0ohm. If you run duals under 1.0ohm you're foolish not to try it on a cheap little rda.

Resistance + Airflow - what you need to know...
Resistance & Air Flow - YouTube

That's why i decided to first drill out holes on a cheap little IGO-W, $20.00 dripping atomizer, I figured if I messed it up, no biggy.

Let me reiterate something that is also tested and true - if you are running dual coils in the .4 - .8 range - you will benefit greatly from larger airholes than the stock size ones in the ithaka. There's an absolute benefit for vapor production when running it at that level of resistance.

But if you're running dual 2.0 ready wires, coming out to 1.0 ohm total - then just like you said, stick with the tested and true stock sized airholes, they're perfect for you. Mark my words, you're going to see more and more genesis style atty's and RDA's coming out with larger Airflow holes. Because if you're the manufacturer...why wouldn't you offer a bigger hole? There's absolutely no downside. If you don't like it - close that hole up and go to the smaller ones...

But you're just dead wrong if you believe there's no advantage to 2 holes @ 2mm - 3mm for dual coils running at .4 - .8ohms. If you're curious, try it - and thank me later. It's not for everyone - I just wondered if there were any sub-1.0ohm vapers out there like myself that have tried expanding the airholes on the Ithaka. I am going to experiment drilling out some extra airflow (somehow) into my ithaka, and if I mess up, it's a $200.00 "bad decision" but hey...someone's gotta try it, and I'll be the first space monkey! :2cool:

Thanks to all who gave me advice! I really appreciate the community's input on this one!

All of that because I dont want to drill bigger holes in my atty's and am happy with Imeos builds? I get the concept.

ph0kused I personally avoid making dual coils of 0.4ohms because I've found they simply destroy batteries. I had a new 18350 AW red go real hot (and I mean hot to the point you couldn't touch it) from a 0.4ohm dual not long ago. I believe it's too much current demand from the battery

I am trying to get my supplies stocked up before my Ithaka arrives. I already ordered 2 and 3 mm silica. I was wondering what wire sizes you all would recommend to me for resistance and nonresistance wires?

Im using 32G Kanthal and 30G nickel (nores). You're gonna have to work with it if your using a zapper :)

So I have gotten my 510 Ithaca base stuck on a ghost modder stealth cap. I his e tried to heat and freeze with no luck. Tried to use rubber gloves for grip, I'm out of ideas and do not wish to damage either part. Any ideas?

Thanks Shaketuga! Bet you can't wait to put it on your JUSTGG! Do you have it on a Provari now?

Nope Zmax I've resisted the provari thus far and Imeo told me that VV will be incorporated into Just GG when proteus is released :) so no provari for me. Oh man I can't wait till Just GG comes in I got the brass stealth cap as well (I've gotta have a little brass on there). Only thing I regret is not having the cheese to order a brass just as well.

After ph0kused's post, I desided to make a bigger hole on new Penelope so lung hitters will be able to enjoy their vape. The new Penelope will be 1mm more like this, so it will be at 48mm. Also with a big hole inside Penelope mouthhitters wouldnt be able to vape normal but who cares. New Penelope has air control :)
