As much as I have wanted to see Imeo move to get rid of NR wire, now I'm feeling nostalgic.

Is it still a GG if it does not have a ceramic and NR wire?

I think it still is a GG style ( part ) because if want to use ribbon wire for R must make a NR-R-NR coil ; i don't think you can round the ribbon wire arround those tiny screws ( or you can do ? )

On the other hand , Imeo why don't you make a new Ithaka atty with new rebuildable parts and say it " Ithaka entry-level " for example ; I believe that GG community will increase with that new atty.

You can wrap ribbon around the screw. It's not the easiest. But it works.
Or you could put slots in the side posts similar to this with screws from above for round (Bad pic)

but its difficult to put wire via holes Cobra, especially when you have small room to work. There is a much easier solution to this. Maybe I can make it on next batch. It would be nice for microcoils but not very easy for regular wires

This is an update not an upgrade for Ithaka

I mean as long as that top screw remains an option
apart special options are welcome micro, dual etc

The Ribbon 0.8 or 0.9 works better on my JGG
so just a preference, holes for my, without spring and a washer or channels
yes some people hate the holes

let the master decide

or simply
If Imeo decide not to make holes then everyone help themselves ;)

yes works ribbon around the screw 0.5 . Is more difficult with the thickest 0.8 OR 0.9
the slot in the side is a good idea I think .I have not used this method

Only Ithaka
Cheers Imeo. Nice to see this becoming available.

Found my answer to the one question I have, does it fit Ody. I am a big GG fan, but since Ody, stopped buying any GG atomizers and sold all of my GG stuff except one GGTS/Ody+ setup. Ceramics holding flavor and dealing with NR put me off. I came here in hopes this would fit my Ody that is collecting dust.

Please make this for Ody, as I am currently not willing to purchase an Ithaka AND this piece, or offer the Ithaka with it.

Cobra is right the trend now is holes in the pins easier when using fat wires. But not that important for me.

I have a couple attys with holes in post to thread through - I am not a fan of that at all.
It is difficult for people that dont have perfect eye sight or steady hands. Just my 2 cents.

I kinda hate to say this because it may delay this in coming out but here is another idea for you. How about making the individual posts shorter. And make the screws longer. Then put a small spring and a washer on it. Then you could trap the wires with the spring and washer and not need silly things like holes or screw drivers ect. I know part of the reason you waited to make something like this is because you didn't want people to have to use tools to make (even though micro coils require loads of tools). Just a thought.

As for the hole no hole debate it is kinda big Some people hate the holes because it is hard to thread the wire through them. And if you over tighten the wires can break. Some only like holes because sometimes when you wrap it around the screw if you screw it down the wire catches the screw and either messes up your coil or pops off the screw. The other method with springs and washers probably has it's own drawbacks as well including requiring more space and springs wear out.

Just some food for thought.

Just my opinion Fright - I have had enough of springs and washers on genisis - people have moved away from them - PIA

You say that screwing down posts sometimes messes up the COIL/WIRE - the reason this happens is because people wrap the wire on clockwise, then turn screw clockwise - this pulls the wire.

Wire should always be wrapped on counter clockwise - so when turning the screw clockwise it wont pull the wire.

For people who use flat wire - it wont pop off below the screw if it is twisted thinner before putting on the post and screwing down.

You know I never thought of that Dspin, no wonder sometimes it does pull and other times it doesnt. I dont have an Ithaka so I cant really say one thing or another, but I do have a KFL.

It was hard to get used to non twist wire set ups, but I have it down now. I can see a definite reason for those that dont like to twist. For me its second nature and it was hard to get used to non NR builds. I have no problem with a good screw post. I myself could see a problem with the holes, my eyesight and my hands are handicapped ( age sucks and neuro problems with hands) As long as the terminals are space enough to have enough room for the coils I see it as a great option for those who are anti-twists.

Ithaka is still with ceramic and NR and keep sell like that.
Becouse Imeo still think this is the best way to work with.
Adding optional for choice is not breach but more of a modder paying
Attention to his customer and make the best he can as an option for them.
It's not a must buy.
who ever want can stay with the classic as it is,nothing wrong with it for some
It even better, and some think ceramic add a lot to flavor of vape.
It's like making sport car that work best with regular hand shifting gear,
To include automatic robotic shifter.
You get to choose how you like to drive, but it still a sport car.
GG is GG not because it have less option,it was always full of features now it include more.

I will be honest I haven't worked much with genesis attys so I didn't know that about the springs but I could see where they could have problems as well. As for the wrap direction that is a very good point.
