I'm going to say one thing about the springs. Forget it. It's such a pain in the .... I have had a few genesis attys. One in particular that's made in the US failed miserably in my opinion on both options they tried (2 bolt and spring). Another made in greece handled their connection a lot better. Of course, the quality difference between the two is night and day as well.

I had thought of that fright but

1. If I make shorter posts then the wires would touch the housing
2. I really hate springs as you know already because they dont make proper contact, thats why I made spring loaded application on justGG. And also, so small springs would be a pain to move them up and down (if you find their edges to do that)

I kinda hate to say this because it may delay this in coming out but here is another idea for you. How about making the individual posts shorter. And make the screws longer. Then put a small spring and a washer on it. Then you could trap the wires with the spring and washer and not need silly things like holes or screw drivers ect. I know part of the reason you waited to make something like this is because you didn't want people to have to use tools to make (even though micro coils require loads of tools). Just a thought.

As for the hole no hole debate it is kinda big Some people hate the holes because it is hard to thread the wire through them. And if you over tighten the wires can break. Some only like holes because sometimes when you wrap it around the screw if you screw it down the wire catches the screw and either messes up your coil or pops off the screw. The other method with springs and washers probably has it's own drawbacks as well including requiring more space and springs wear out.

Just some food for thought.

Found my answer to the one question I have, does it fit Ody. I am a big GG fan, but since Ody, stopped buying any GG atomizers and sold all of my GG stuff except one GGTS/Ody+ setup. Ceramics holding flavor and dealing with NR put me off. I came here in hopes this would fit my Ody that is collecting dust.

Please make this for Ody, as I am currently not willing to purchase an Ithaka AND this piece, or offer the Ithaka with it.

I have a couple attys with holes in post to thread through - I am not a fan of that at all.
It is difficult for people that dont have perfect eye sight or steady hands. Just my 2 cents.

Some people ask me if when we screw bolts to keep wires in place, those bolts take wire with them while screwing. This is not happening on Ithaka upgrade because you always keep wick with your fingers while screwing

Also some friends ask me what about the plastic on new rebuildable part. This plastic stays invisible under the center post. You cant damage it because none of the 2 pins is screwed on the plastic (but only on metals) and of course is far away from the wire so it cant get burned

Imeo I'm away for 2 days and I come back to see this. You blew my mind! I was trying to figure out a design on my own (based on ithaka, Genesis, and igo) but this is so much better. I wonder if I can fit dual coils onto this? Would probably have to be with 1 or 1.5mm wick and some clever positioning.

It looks like you could make a small bed with cotton or extra wick at the bottom of the posts to help soak up any extra juice that comes through (for those that use 100%pg) even going so far as to wrap the coil with wick. Airflow will be tricky for sure in a setup like that.

I can't wait to play!

I feel like sharing a story too haha. My wife's grandmother said this morning when I was playing with my ithaka "again? What's wrong with it?". It's never something wrong, just still searching for the perfect vape haha. Yesterday it was kanthal ribbon, today it's 0.5 ohm dual coil regular wire. Last week it was x style. I can't put this thing down! With the new res only at least my emergency coil kit will be wick and one kind of wire (and window, and ceramic, and o-ring, and juice). Broke it once at the beginning of the day, never going to be without a good vape if I can help it!

Also I ran an FEA on the old window and new window, the stress raiser by the edge was much less than I thought. You were right =) old window is much more likely to break. I would need hulk hands to break the new one.

I'm now 3 Ithakas deep...how on earth did this happen? When I bought my first I said "this will be enough". Now I have 3 ... Imeo I think you have some type of hypnosis going on in your videos maybe it has to do with the systematical tapping of parts on the table LMAO!!!

I think you hit the nail on the head! My wife thinks its funny that I always get stoked hearing Imeo speak in English. I just wish I could understand Greek so I could understand his "I'm right in the middle of making a video" phone calls.

I'm so delighted with this upgrade. My favorite vape anymore is a 1.3 ohm microcoil with cotton wicking. I've tried to make it in the Ithaka but it's crazy hard for me to get the NR wire twisted on to the R wire when I've got them wrapped up in a microcoil. So, I've sadly put my Ithakas away and don't use them anymore. Now I can bring them back out and put them back on the GGs!!

I have never complained about money, if this would interest me, I would invest the 75€ to purchase one upgrade to try it. But do you really think this will grab new users who dislike NR wire? If you do not already own an Ithaka it's 201€ + shipping. May be worth even that, but the figure shurely wpuld put me off. just my 2 cents godek
