You are very right about this I think.
I'm a KFL+ user and have no interest in messing with NR/R wires or fragile parts like ceramics. Ceramic wicks in my genni's totally turned me off as I broke so many of them. I want stuff that will last and isn't too figetedy. I love my micro
coils and cotton. Lol, I've been on the same coil on my KFL for 2 months or more.
i would have never considered any atomizer that used NR or ceramics however after watching the video explaining the updated Ithaka it now looks like everything I've ever wanted in an atty. so I broke down and ordered one last night.
Every point of view and option can live, both in a forum and in the GG line, its one of the greatness of these devices and finally why they feed so much the forums

I'm primary a kayfun vaper like you, its the svoemesto crew who told me frankly and respectfully all the credits and inputs they took from the iatty and, so, makes me involve more in GG ato and mods.
I'm now a fan of non-R / ceramic setups and keep only one of my 5 ithakas with 'upgrade' (more by respect and curiosity to the outstanding platform the Ithaka is) and the penelope v3 is the only GG ato i'll finally not purchase. I like to precisely select the resistance of my coil (the non-R wires are welded directly to the coil made and measured to its exact lenght) and take a real pleasure to build these setups (zapper v2 + silver wires). Considering and assuming non-objective preference, i consider 'cold' contact to the connections and chamber below the air flow as an improvment + variations in taste when ceramic cup used instead of 'direct' connections from steel.
There is ton of atos with two screw on the market, a hole in beetwen them, the GG atos have their own signature with ceramics , the visual beauty of these setups, the attention they need, the performance delivered in return particpate, for me and i hope still others GG users, to the GG-pleasure dna.
I took so much the habit of measuring the resistance when coiled and only then , welding a non-R wire to reach the plot (justified first with ribbon wires used wich can be a P in the A to screw, then the use sometime of limited in low resistance regulated mods) i even use these method for nearly all my atos, mmvapors TNS and genesis included...
I'm not interested in keeping my coil for a whole year and think, but i'm probably wrong, the microcoil vogue more justified by the real perfs of the cotton feeding, the vape point of improvment being the air flow to my opinion.
I totally agree with you the 'upgrade' and v3 option helps more and more vapers to join the GG community, and its a good thing
