Hey,

thx for the response. I am using Penelpe v2 a lot for a while now and every time i switch back to Ithaka i feel like it gives not enough air.
I don´t use Ithaka update, because i like the ceramic Ithaka . maybe Imeo will do a redesign some day ?!
until then my 6 Ithaka´s are waiting for my 4 Pennelope to get lost ,lol.

thx

Stan

I am totally blown away. Just achieved possibly one of the best vapes I ever had using a new Ithaka update. Two microcoils of 28 gauge kanthal on top of each other, threaded with cotton at 0.6ohm ( was also very easy to set up ). I opened up liquid flow and most importantly removed the bottom o-ring to really open up the airflow. The draw and vapor I am getting are similar to my drippers set up with dual 1.5mm holes, but the flavor is something else, must have to do with the fact that the chamber is much smaller than on the drippers. I went through two tanks already, no flooding or anything, in fact I checked collector tank a few times and there were no traces of liquid at all. I just can't believe the vape I'm getting from this beauty. Thank you, Imeo.

Borat, which oring did you remove to increase airflow?

Sincerely,
#1 GG New Brass Fan

It's on the bottom of the rebuildable part, its purpose is to prevent liquid from coming out of Ithaka.
If you remove it, air goes through both 510 connection and bottom of Ithaka. Imeo posted a video about this on his channel.
Even if the liquid leaks out it will get into collector tank. The thing is though, two cotton wicks are absorbing so well that I didn't get any leaking even when opening liquid channels wide open. In fact I actually had to really open it up to keep those wicks wet.
For the sake of experiment I won't be closing the channels to see if anything leaks out overnight.

Btw Brenetics, I also love the new brass. True, it tarnishes super fast but with a drill and cape code cloth it takes five minutes to shine it so no big deal. But in terms of looks, it's pure class.

Imeo,

what about a adapter for Ithaka to work wit penny v2&3 rebuildables ???

1.mouthpiece from penny would work
2. so we would get the chance to make penelope v2 big tank

It only would need something like the ithaka basic feeding ring in the right size of penelope v2 rebuildable part to fit into existing ithaka

thats maybe possible Stan. But penny V3 use almost the same rebuildable like Ithaka update, so no reason to put penny's rebuildable on Ithaka. We will have exactly the same result.

As for V2, its a great thought. It has a meaning because we will have Ithaka single coil and of course more liquid capacity on it because V2 rebuildable is smaller:)

Hi all,
New to Ithaka NR-R builds.
Recommendations for place to buy non-resistance wire?
Also, pros/cons on using thicker/thiner NR?
Current build is 28gauge Kanthal with 32gauge Nickel NR running at ~1ohms.
-Edit- I use Tsaf, so wire welding isn't a problem.
TIA!

If you're twisting wires with 28 gauge kanthal, I found better results using twisted 32 nickel with it. The connections are thicker but very good stability and connectivity.

I go back and forth between plain 28g and twisted 32g. Only problem I have with twisted 32g is, if I don't have right level of twist, it will pop and shoot hot juice like no tomorrow. Quite a firework. :D
I am getting into "cool" vaping mode. Find that I get much more flavor in cooler vape but need to strike the right balance since I do enjoy warm vapor.
