Hard to tell by that pic. Ask for pic of parts especially the center post. I have seen pic of clone which looks similar outside but very different inside the post area.

I would ask for more pictures the pieces don't seen right to me or run the serial against the database and see who bought it originally

Hi all,

I've purchased 2 ithakas and they have some differences, I'd like to make sure they're legit.
The first one with SN #5088 was purchased in July 2013, and the clear window tank section is smooth inside. Of course it was the ceramic part one.
The second one with SN #4116 was purchased in March 2014, and the clear window tank section is recessed inside. This one was sold together with the update (no more ceramic).
What bothers me is the fact that serial numbers are not coherent with respect to purchase dates, and also the difference of the plastic tank section.
What you guys think? Is it normal? Or should I be worried about those differences?

dont pay attention to serials because sellers dont sell them in order mon. Maybe you got a smaller serial even if you made your purchase later than other people. As for the clear window, its like electra said.
Congratulations for your purchases buddy
