Here's a picture of the nut, you position the cut outs over the slots on the bottom of the ceramic either open or closed.

So, I took apart Ithaka last night to try a different set up. Looks like I messed it up pretty good. It appears there was a short. It mangled the plastic nut for securing the negative connection, as well as the tiny plastic washer on the center post. Imeo, is there a way we can get replacement plastic parts? :(

Oh my Goodness, I know someone said the parts are now on pre-sale, but that wont help right now. I hope either COV or E-smokeguru held on to some parts in case of an emergency like this.

Yeah, I just realized that. Made a pre-order for some replacement plastic bits and o-rings, as well as some rebuildable part items. Luckily, I was able to get #195 working by threading the plastic nut on and off until it kind of re-threaded itself. I think that tiny plastic washer is making everything crooked though :/ At least I didn't kill it completely.

Wow sorry Ryd, terrible. What exactly was the issue? That happened while testing the coil right? Not vaping I hope.

TBH, I'm not really sure what happened. I had a dual coil in the X configuration. Everything seemed to be working just fine. No strange flavor. Vapor production seemed normal, maybe a little less then I get with my dual coil Nimbus. I vaped about 3-4 tanks of juice and decided to try a dual wick single coil (it's still new, so I keep wanting to try new configurations :)). When I took everything apart, this is what I found. Not sure if there was a metal shaving that worked it's way into a bad spot, or what.

sorry to hear about the melted nut. you can always ground the same way as on ody v2 and penelope. the plastic nut is just a way to secure he neg wire better.

Indeed. If I couldn't get the nut to work, I would build it Ody style, grounding in the channel(s). The little plastic washer needs to be replaced though. I think it's causing everything to be crooked when tightened. It looks like the short heated everything up, and the washer became soft. The bottom of the ceramic housing cut into the washer. The pic doesn't show it, because I flipped it over, in hopes it would give it some more life. All good though... live, learn, and vape on :)
