Ali, I never had gurgling or noise after I put my short nut there. New nut had no cut for screwdriver and its 3mm long. Also its base is 5mm so it always leaves ceramic holes open. Is yours 3mm long too?
yes, 3 milimeters long, and nut is in open opsition. I still get a little gurgling (less than before shortening the nut) and some liquid on my provari's positive contact... :( :( :(

I made a lot of nuts Ali just to see whitch one works without any noise. I made one at 3mm with a cut and the ability to leave holes opened or closed, one at 3mm with holes always open, one at 6mm with 2 holes on it for the air, one with side holes, one with side and center hole for air etc. I made about 10 different nuts. The one that doesnt produce any noise at all is the one that is 3mm in length with a fatter base (5mm) and the rest of it is at 2mm.

No worries, when you will receive it you will be more than ok.

So here's an observation from an experienced user. Parallel dual coils produces more throat hit than X dual coils. Especially when set up with Ekowool. The Ekowool is so stiff that the gap between the coils can't be closed. .6Ω with 6mg juice is hitting like 24mg. I had to set it down after a few minutes. I chain vape all day. It takes a lot to stop me with 6mg juice.
This is also the first time I've ever touched the air control. I always keep it wide open. I like a stiff draw. It seems with the X setup the air is limited due to the configuration. With parallel open center, it allows a lot of air thru.

2, it fit in the channels so nice before I torched it. Then it expanded just enough so it didn't want to play nice. It's been hours now and over half a tank. BF is wide open and I only open the juice once and a while. It seems to be working well.

So I'll go 1.5 mm

Great set up. Definitely more air flow for sure. Vaped a tank and will look at gunk factor later on today.

My clear window has slowly gotten foggy--last night took everything apart for a new coil and cleaning and the window is brittle as all hell. Ended up using my Ody steel tank.

Strange thing is, I've only been using CoV Butterscotch and Boca Breeze in the Ithaka--neither juice ever had issues with the Kir Fanis Ody tanks.

Imeo, I was thinking about a way to have INDIRECT air flow to the wicks, such as maybe having a channel or hole in the mouthpiece to get the air to the coil from above (up) or maybe closing the central hole in the center post and having pne or two holes on the side. by doing that, you completely eliminate chance of liquid flying around inside the ceramic to find a way into the air hole, but at the same time may increase the throat hit or decrease vapor production if not done professionally like the way you do things. so i didnt try them, but you can start thinking about these trial and error ways , specially a way to get air from up (through a hole or channel in the mouthpiece perhaps)...

Yea I'm interested to see what it looks like also. I am vaping a cigar extract that I made that gunks like crazy. Its already chocked the air to the point I've opened the control all the way.
This is also my 1st Ekowool venture. So intrigued on that front. I def think it's wicking very well. Juice is 50/50 and I only open the juice every now and then. BF is wide open.
Also no flooding, or gurgling. I can intentionally get it to gurgle by leaving the juice open too long. For experiments sake i do this and it is just like Ody (no reason to think otherwise) I just flip it upside down for a quick second and it feeds to the wick and gurgle gone.

Imeo,
I wouldn't change a thing. Mine is perfect anyway...

Well I guess it could come with a life time supply of wick. That would be OK with me :D

as I said in my previous post I did just what you said Ali. A center post with side holes. It doesnt work. As for the hole to the mouthpiece, it already exists.
I know that you try to solve the noise problem but its already solved with the new nut that I will send you, no worries:)
