I've been smoke free and couldn't be happier!

Just a quick question. I filled my cartridge so it looked 'like a slushie' and not flooded. I even dabbed it with a napkin just in case. I just took the cone off and there was liquid where the cart meets the atty and a few drops on the outside of the cart too. Is that normal? I just wiped it off but thought maybe I may have over filled it.

thanks in advance!

Hey NikonGirl! Excited that you got your gear!

Drips around the cartridge are more than likely condensation. Heat from the atty plus the vapor production = condensation. I remember getting that myself. So long as juice is leaking into the battery connection (which means it's coming out of the bottom hole of your atomizer) then you should be fine.

Congrats, NikonGirl. Yes, you are slightly overfilling, and any newbie would be well-advised to keep a few kleenex handy at all times. You will get better. A nicely filled carto will sizzle slightly. Popping is an indication of a slight overfill, and could result in small drops of hot juice getting in your mouth when you vape. (Unpleasant, but not usually causing any harm.)

Take the carto off the battery, hold a kleenex under the battery end of the carto and blow it out until no juice comes out. Put the carto back on the battery and enjoy!

Congratulations!

Congrats, NikonGirl! I'm using an eGo with 510 cartomizers and I have had that too. As others said it sounds like overfilling a bit. I usually choose one end, blow through it onto a bit of paper towel like MsTick said to try. I have found that if I let the cart sit for a minute for a few minutes before vaping, even if I roll it back and forth on a flat surface a bit just a few times (until it's evident from how it's rolling that the weight (juice) is distributed evenly (that is, it rolls at a constant rate and never reverses direction while rolling), it seems to get the cart to hold more than before I tried that. Just tried that today. As you start vaping a newly filled cart it heats up and the juice can tend to leak again if it was very full, so I like to remove the cart and check the contact of the battery to see if there's a small bead of ejuice on it. If there is, I take a cotton swab to it, dab the other end on the atomizer-end of the cart, and get back to vaping.
