i just ordered some, will report if in town, got 10 of the PHOENIX 3ml just in case, like them a little more that the 1.5's but with all the new stuff the Bottom Coil PHOENIX's are my go to"s.
Having some luck cleaning but will not work forever. All the new Re-Doable's are OK, the ATTY best but to get will need to go cotton or SS and my old hands able to change the pre wrapped coils. Since I'm not able to push the new coils into cotton or SS decided to stock-up on what's the best.
Oh ya, those little cartos are great for dripping last a while then toss them.

Oh Ya, cutting groves on the center posts after ETA cleaning and dry burning, helps a lot and no leaks yet, cutting all the way to the stop shoulder. GO PHOENIX! Won't it be great if these new tanked Bottom coils are as good, not using a needle works for me.
DAN, I know you can't do cotton, but you could do the SS supplies for rewicking. I know, yoou had enough problems with the PHOENIX and people not using them right BUT I think it's OK now, nevermind I can hear the whiners now when you try and explane how to oxidize the screens

Just for future reference, I filled one (1.5 ml) with 100% VG earlier (Gorilla Juice, go figure) and it vapes just fine. I find I can't go too high on the voltage is all. No idea how long it will take to gunk up, it was a brand new one.

My first time with GJ, and it's pretty good, but it doesn't make my top 5 so far. I can barely taste the banana, and I can taste the tobacco too much. Don't get me wrong, it's good, just not OMG! good. Maybe I didn't let it steep long enough (2 days, yeah, I was impatient

I assume you are talking about filling the bottom coil Phoenix with the little syringe that came with the 5 pack? If so pull the plunger out of the syringe, stick the syringe needle into the carto right side up, pour 1.7ml directly into the syringe, hold it as horizontal as you can without the juice running out and insert the plunger just a little, tilt it upside down and pump the juice into the carto. Works for me with my VG niquid with no hassle or mess.

Just ordered some, sounds good. Also some other stuff, this is is actually my first order with gotvapes. I really liked their website, went away with the definite impression that they are all over the details of their products and (maybe?) a bit more innovative and quality driven than some sites that just list a bunch of stuff and resell it. Overall was impressed, hoping I'm as impressed with the products I ordered, thanks!
OK, after the disappointment of the bottom coil RAVENS I started working on my old PHOENiX 3 ml eGos. I clean/burn the coil, file open the slots and then add a cotton bunny tail to the top. It seems to help, not that they need a lot of help but while you have them appart to clean the filing and bunny tails help.
First: clean the coil in alcohol, dry burn, repeat as necessary; I just do two and use an ultrasonic cleaner but shaking is working too, picking at the burned gray carbon helps. If the coil wont un-gunk after two tries its time to just toss it IMHO.
Then, before I reassemble, I file two slots in the bottom of the long center tube over where the wick slots are all the way to the shoulder.
Then I make a bunny tail to put over the coil/wick. Its a little ball of cotton with a tail to stick out of the slots. The tails dont have to stick out much but enough so they have to be tucked up to insert the plastic tube. I use gauze cotton; others use cheese cloth or other stuff that has to be boiled to remove stuff to prepare it: check here http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/fo...erials-safe-vs-dangerous-265.html#post7037389 but mine are a LOT smaller and tapered to put a just a ball of cotton over the coil and some threads going out the slots. Of course Im not replacing the silicon wick with cotton like the photo. It seems ANY cotton laid over a coil will GREATLY improve performance.
