Hey GSA ... You can return it within the first 7 days for a full refund minus shipping!

Also -- we tested 900mAh non lifepo4 batts made by tenergy months ago - and they were REALLY disappointing -- to the point, where they would work for about 1/2 hours once charged ... and after being a week old, not even that.. Thus thus the reason we went with the 750mAh LifePo4's :) If the 900mAh performed better, we would have went with those in each kit !

Its funny that you should mention that. In my chuck, the 900mah batteries just got really warm, and performance faded quickly. batteries would last me maybe an hour. The lifepo4s are lasting a long time, and Im pretty happy with the results so far.

Just got home, found my beautiful box (with a beautiful machine inside) waiting on my porch. I'm charging the batteries, but waiting is driving me nuts. The Prodigy itself is gorgeous. I haven't even gotten it going yet and it's a joy to hold. It really is the perfect size/weight for me, feels like I'm holding a hybrid light-saber/hookah mouthpiece (or a Tom Baker-era sonic screwdriver.)

One question, though. I kinda expected the kit to come with an actual 801 cart - I see now that it wasn't listed in the contents of the kit, so it's totally my fault. Can anyone recommend a vendor to ship a bunch of 801 carts quickly to Seattle? I see PS doesn't carry them. Guess I'll be dripping for the next few days. :D (Actually, if anyone can link me to a good guide for dripping on a 5v/801, I'd appreciate it.)

You only use about 50% of your liquid in carts, and use 95%-100% when dripping. Atomizers frequently burn the cart material, resulting in bad taste.

When I'm driving I usually top off at stoplights (tons of them in Chicago), and when I'm out with friends dripping doesnt really matter. I hardly, if ever, make messes.

If you need a cart solution for longer trips, I highly recommend cartomizers. They last much longer than standard carts. On new years day, I drove about 150 miles with a cartomizer before I needed a new one, and I'm a heavy vaper.

Keep it vertical. Also, the V2 has a troft around the adapter to retain liquid. It might look like it will just spill out, but it takes a lot of effort to get the liquid to actually come out. I carry my Protege in my work vest pockets all the time and haven't had a leak with that yet. You need a flattened q-tip of you wanna clean the troft out.

As far as cartomizers go, the only ones that I know of fit 901 adapters, and they are called the KR808D. Puresmoker sells them as the Ace Atomz, and they are refillable.

The easiest and best way to clean the "Trough", attys, or anything is with PGA (Pure Grain Alcohol - 190 proof(may not be available in your state))

A quick litte rinse and everythings crystal clean and like new again. It also evaporates quickly leaving no residue. A couple of drops added to your favorite liquid provides an added throat hit and it aint terrible for drinking either (I recommend orange or grapefruit juice). :w00t:

I didn't realize that it didn't come with carts either. I do have some RN4062/dse701 e-cigar carts. Will the carts I have work or do I need to get 801 carts?

Quick question...

How long does it take to charge the batteries that come with the v2? I haven't used the LiFePO4 batteries before.

Usually around 2-3 hours. I also recommend stocking up on batteries and an extra charger or two. My first three sets of batteries (used in rotation on the V1) lasted 6 months until I started to see a drop in performance. Just got in 6 new sets and two chargers from battery junction.

You'll also want to make sure you keep the negative contacts on the charger making good contact. They tend to bend with use and get loose thus not giving you a full charge. NEVER put the batteries in positve end first.
