All the batts had a charge on them at arrival (not sure exactly how much, but enough to vape a bit).

I got a Kr8 start kit with 2 extra batteries. Three manuals, and one auto. The auto is for my dad. But I tried it out...

Not getting a ton of vapor yet off the manuals. But I'm having slightly more success with the auto. Same cart on all of them - prefilled 18mg tobacco flavored. Does anyone know why this might be? I'm doing fairly light, easy drags, though I'm not yet doing the 4-5 second ones most of you are. I must admit, I'm surprised with how much of a throat hit I'm getting! I'm gunna have to build up to that.

My body is really confused right now. I kinda wanted a cig right before I went out to check the mail.

And now... I have no idea. One minute I don't want one at all. Then I sorta do again. Then I take a hit and I don't. Then I do.

I'm confused!

Ah, perhaps so. Though I would have thought the autos would have drained more in shipping than the manuals, since loud noises set them off. Who knows?

I think part of it may also be that I'm taking some pretty wimpy drags still, lol. A lot of aspects of it are quite similar to smoking a cig, but my throat does clamp a bit toking on e-cigs, just like it does if I breath in lots of steam in the shower. This is something that has only happened since I started smoking. :/ Maybe it's from throat damage. Not sure.

Charge your batteries way more than necessary the first time you use them; they'll last you much longer. If you put them on a charger and the light turns red, they're low. That may be why they aren't working as well.

Don't worry about wanting a cigarette. I've only cut back by about half, but that's huge progress for me. There's no reason this has to be painful. Maybe you could put your cigarettes in the car. After a while, you may decide it's too much trouble to go out and get one.

batts should come 1/2 charged, don't worry about batt. "memory" so much -- just keep them topped up, like a cell phone or laptop. there will be more energy when the batt. is near 100%, so that is usually when the device works best.

That said, I'm not sure I like the charger. The battery doesn't screw in, like it does on a lot I've seen. Just sorta pushes in. And it's a bit fidgety about when it's far enough in and when it isn't. Hmm...

Audio - Yeah, I'm not worrying too much about wanting a cig right now. I've still got enough rollie stuff for probably another 3-4 days of smoking 30 a day, and I'm not going to be too hard on myself. I wanna quit, but if that takes some time, I'm not fussed.

But I genuinely can't decide if I want one or not!

I have lived a fast life, think fast & will "pull the trigger" or some would say "roll the dice" in less than a heartbeat. Just because I have done something certainly does not in any way suggest you should try it!
When using the PV the first time, after a while I got a cig. & got a good buzz.

That's a bit of urban legend probably caused by holdover info from older battery types. Once the green light comes on, it's done.

You know, I'm actually shocked to find that I'm getting a pretty substantial hit of nicotine as it is. It's 18mg, and I was actually worried it would to be too low for me. But now... I'm wondering if it's a bit high?

I smoked 30 a day. But they were rollies. And loose tobacco has less crap in it than tailored cigs. But... maybe it also has a bit less nicotine? Could also be the weather today. It's very hot, and I felt unusually high on nic when I had my morning cigarette, too.

This is really strange...

I found the same with my manual and auto batteries, the auto seems to perform better. Maybe it's just certain models. I have the Ultra M601 and M602.

I'm not too worried about it. I just ordered another auto battery, and a PCC so I'm going to carry around the manual as a backup, and have the 2 auto's as my main batteries. Probably just use the manual one if for some reason both my auto's are dead.

I was making my own w/ a cig. machine. I was 22 day full menthol & got by w/ 16 though I knew better (24mg) & was expecting some 24mg, still wound up w/ all 16mg. I was not trying to quit & smoked about 9 during first day & was down to 3 day in 5 days. I ordered 18 & 24mg & mainly used 21 which is 24 & 18 mixed. Then ordered 18mg.
Your 18 is not too high.

Not everything can be attributed to vaping. But there are a lot of changes that happen when the cigs go away. Some happen fast... some slow.

My first day was weird. I felt a lot of things that were unusual. I wouldn't venture trying to decide whether that is normal or not.

Eh, not sick really. Just... weird. Like you said, just some unusual stuff. Again, some of it could be the heat. Nicotine, whether it's in cigarette form or not, seems to go to my head more in 90+ degree weather. No aircon. Just lots of fans.

I'm in what is apparently a very small minority - smoking actually sometimes made me feel hungry.

So... I'm not sure what's going on with my tummy. It's been a while since I ate... maybe I'm hungry? Not sure. Something in cigs must have made me feel hungry that might be different or not there in an e-cig.

I'll try eating something.

I don't know if you've had a chance to look at this, but there are alot of symptoms that people should look out for. Also, different people will respond differently.

Most importantly, don't discount the possibility that some symptoms may have nothing to do with quitting smoking/starting vaping. You might be pregnant (OK, JUST KIDDING!) or have some other ailment that should be raised with your doctor.

First off, theres a lot of things that are suggesting that it takes a bit longer to get the nicotine in your blood up to that maintenance level with e-cigs. Thats probabbly the want an analog/ don't want one thing. Also, make sure that you're drinking lots of fluids. The PG will dry you out and the symptoms you have could be from dehydration as well as a little too much nic at once.
