...and I'm glad I did! After 25 plus years of at least pack a day smoking I took up the vape in an effort to quit. I went slightly over 5 months without a single cigarette. It was nagging me. I fired one up this morning, took 2 or 3 drags, and hated it. This was what I had hoped would happen. I don't advocate this approach, as your mileage may vary, but this has confirmed it for me. I have no desire to ever smoke another cigarette.

Rant over. Carry on.

I hope you got yourself another b-day gift, too. An analog cigarette as a birthday gift is way worse than a lump of coal for Christmas. Happy Birthday!

I quit 2 years ago and still every so often I get a really strong craving for a cig. Most of the time it's when I'm stressed or if I walk past someone in the street smoking and get a wiff of the smoke (don't know why but I like the smell of tobacco smoke). I dare not try another cig just incase I slip back into smoking.

Anyway well done mate for beating the stinkies. :thumb:

I smoke a cigar on special occaisions. I gave up trying cigarettes that first year. Around my 1 year mark, I found the remaining cigarettes from my last pack. They had been sitting open for a YEAR! I fired one up...Yep! That's all the negative reinforcement I needed! haven't had the urge to fire-up since. Now, a good cigar on Memorial Day or Labor Day or my wedding anniversary? Yes, please!

Congratulations on realizing you are a former smoker!

One of my brothers is till a dual user (I got him started vaping last Christmas). In August we were visiting. I smoked one of his cigs then flicked it aside and told him I didn't just quit, I'm immune, no more interest, and that turned out to be true. It wasn't pleasant and I had no thought of having another. I smoked for too many decades so this outcome is amazing to me.

That's exactly what I was thinking -- "what a nasty thing to give yourself for your birthday!" :D

Happy b-day to you, and roxynoodle too!

I don't think so. About to drop from 12 to 6 next order. I think it was just something I had to do. I am very thankful that I didn't like it. Vaping away on the Subtank plus now clouding up the home office. Got a Magma RDA standing by that I need to build...will be a first for me. Thanks.

It is laughable that main reason WHO call on regulate e cig as tobacco product and also banned in many countries because of their thinking that e cig will initiate to smoking. I read many of their interviews and this is really their main concern. I was a smoker for 30 years but I cannot stand to take a few puffs now how a non smoker e vaper teenager can become a smoker due to vaping only and not because of something else is beyond me. The health organization will never understand the point as they are none smoker and none vaper.
