I tried to love it for the last week, but it just isn't doing it for me. I'm vaping 70/30 vg pg juice, and I just don't like the Vape... On a regulated box mod at 30 watts, it seems weak, and on a mech with a fresh battery, it starts tasting burnt. I can get a "cloud" if I take a really deep lung hit, but the vapor is still thin and just kind of bleh. My kayfun lite runs circles around it.

Any advice? What am I doing wrong?

From what ive seen its jumps to life around 35. I tried one day or two ago, guy was complaining about it on his mech I put it on my SX350 box and it was really good at 35 and kept up at 40 but was a little warm for me at 40. It really should not be tasting burnt on a mech mod. I think maybe after reading your post again you have toasted your cotton. 40w regulated and not a burnt hit, 4.2 v on a mech should not bother it at all, if you had no battery sag that would be a little over 35w.

Just my opinion but its made for a regulated device. You cant sustain 35w on a mech mod, and really you probably cant get that high with battery sag.

My first coil I vaped at 60 watts and she was a foggin' then the next coil sucked I can't vape over 35 watts and all mine so far reads about .64 none have read .50

Smart of Aspire to build them just north of 0.5Ω. If it reads even slightly below 0.5Ω many popular devices (DNA30, for instance) won't fire it.

I took a couple pulls off an Atlantis at 50 Watts with a high VG liquid. Pretty impressive. No Kayfun would keep up with it.

You might be in the same boat as myself honestly. I got my Atlantis in and was completely let down. I simply cannot get the amount of vapor I should be, but mine is defective. I asked around here and apparently there's an air leak on mine, so I'm getting way too much air that isn't passing through the atty. Then just this morning it sprung a leak and started seeping liquid. I'm ordering another in a couple days after I get paid, but if it isn't any better I'm going back to my Nautilus and my Provari.

I'd ordered a Vaporshark rDNA-40 but I'm having to wait 30 business days thanks to CyberMonday sales. So I ordered two cheaper devices just to be able to use this Atlantis tank, and the Aerotank Turbo quad coil tank from Kanger. The VAMO 7 35watt is a complete disappointment to me, and I should be getting my IPV Mini 30watt today. But yeah if the new Atlantis is the same as this one, I'm canceling my Vaporshark order and saying to h*ll with these tanks. The turbo hits good but it's not without its faults, which -I believe- is why they're releasing the Kanger Subtank so soon after.

Maybe mine has a leak as well. Even with the smallest air hole I can still lung hit it. There is no way I could mouth to lung with it. The vapor comes out thin.

I think the hype has outrun reality on the Atlantis. I have a couple and love them but, as good as they are, they're not replacing my Lemos or my drippers. I don't think the Atlantis was ever intended as a "________ killer" unless that blank is filled in with the name of your favorite clearo. It's not a distant 2nd but it's not competitive with my rebuildables. Don't let your expectations get away from you. It's a stellar vape for the convenience it provides but it certainly has limitations.

It does seem like you may have a faulty unit.

That's exactly how mine is. Smallest air hole has little to no resistance and there really isn't a big difference between it and the largest setting, which I was told is definitely a sign of it being defective because they claim those two should be miles apart. Even when I close off my airflow putting it between two settings, it's not a hard pull, and I was told there should be none at all or next to nothing. So when I hit mine, vapor is produced, and the flavor is definitely vapor (no dry/burn hits) but what I exhale is fairly minimal compared to what I've seen this tank do, and the vapor itself is no thicker than what I get from my nautilus, possibly thinner if I'm honest.

I'm gonna run another coil when I get to the office tomorrow. I haven't tried cutting the airflow off completely. I think all the initial "OMG" hype videos may have just got my hopes too high. I was hoping for a rich, warm Vape and it ain't happening. Back to the trusty kayfun for now.

I read your other post too and even though I've only had my Atlantis not even a day I can tell you that it really sounds like there is something wrong with yours. I would put the smallest airflow setting on the Atlantis pretty close to the biggest on the Nautilus. You should definitely tell a difference between the smallest and biggest setting. I will say the Atlantis blows my Nautilus away. If I leave it on the smallest setting I get a nice hit without a crazy amount of vapor. Then if I want I open it all the way up and do a nice big lung hit and get a pretty decent sized cloud. It's not going to win competitions but it's pretty nice though.

While a Coil head can decrease Air Flow(over packing/miss packing wick) one cannot Increase Air flow. This is strictly controlled by mechanical opening availability and can only change by Modification of such. Miss-fitting parts can cause additional gaps causing a mechanical(physical) change.

My buddy and I both have Atlantis tanks and have zero issues with them. No air leaks, no fluid leaks, warm thick vape at 24Watts. He got his tank locally and i got mine from 101vape.

Im using it on Sig 100, and he has IPV2 and Mech Mod.

So looks like some of you got a bad batch.

Only issue i had, is with the second coil that came with the tank, it would give me a nasty dry burn over 26watts, so i had to vape that one coil at 22watts.
