18490 set 1 4E ,What kind of wood is that ? Also Karen or Rob if you read this what kind of wood would be best for the Hot AZ climate? Im hoping this one is :)

The low humidity of the states with the hot weather will cause the woods to dry. With the poly coating and the tung oil on the wood you have a protective coating. Especially for the inside and also on the outside, I would suggest the Howard's Feed and Wax.

I have seen many wood REO's that on the inside look like they have never been waxed. The wood is very dry. They soak up a lot of oil and wax. This includes the inside of the door that is not poly coated.

The Howard's wax has orange oil that will penetrate the bare wood. It also has Carnauba and beeswax that provide a level of protection and shine.

I use the Howard's SunShield with UV protection. My REO's are not often in direct sun but I would rather have the protection than not.

There is a Howard's paste wax, Citrus Shield that has more of the carnauba wax and provides greater and harder protection.

Which ever wood you get make sure to maintain a regimen of waxing inside and out to give it the protection it needs.

The sub ohm is not for wood mods it for metal mods. The limiting factor in the Woods is the switch and wires, the sub ohm kit is spring, firing pin and button for the mechanicals.

That is true. Robert is thinking ahead and said this:

These are not sub ohm mods the switch is the same switch I have always used in wood mods 3 amp . This will be the last time I make standard wood mods the next load of wood mods will ether have a mechanical switch like the grand or a upgraded push button . If your a super sub ohm guy this is not the mod for you unless you change the push button switch .

I'm sure this has been asked and answered in here somewhere, so please pardon the repeat, but what size battery does the Woodvil Mini take - 18350 or 14500?

Mini Woodvil uses the 14500 battery. The Woodvil 18490 uses, well the 18490! Only the VV Woodvil, which is not being done takes the 18350 x2.

Thanks, nerak. I was supposed to stay out of this thread altogether; now, I'm just trying to limit myself to one. Hope they go up for sale before I lose all control.

It will only be tougher to retain control when they all go up on the site!!! The choice sure is difficult!

Oh man the waiting has only caused me to start researching other things, which has resulted in me buying stuff other than Reos (for the first time ever), and I must say I really appreciate the simplicity and functionality of my Reos so much more now! I got a high end genny, a bagua 22 Ti arrow…it's a beautiful thing but wire mesh wicks are just nasty tasting and fiddly. Then a Russian 91% came my way, love that thing, but it just took me 30 mins to rebuild the darn thing. Of course, I sat there vaping my reo the whole time which I can rebuild in 5 mins and rewick in less than a minute. I learned a valuable lesson (after spending way too much money), that all you really need is a Reo (or 4 of them). Lesson learned…I now wait patiently for the Woodvills :D

I've been tempted on more than one occasion but I promised myself that my next mod would be a Woodvil and none else. :D

Nice handle btw! I remember reading somewhere that it's against ecf rules to name a product similar to the user name but I didn't know that it's allowed to use a handle same as a product. .. I should've picked Reonaut:toast:

I've been reading about all the new attys and perusing the classies and checking ........'s, etc., but nothing has even tempted me. That is so weird for me - I'm always pining after something - but the only thing I really want is another Reo, and I'm holding out for a Woodvil. So far.

Fine line, since they are not associated with the making or sale of a Reo.

I could not make and sell a mod called the filthy-Beast. but if someone else did, I wouldn't have to stop using my name.
